Reviews of Creative Healing
"As a parent who has teens that struggle with mental health issues, we have found the team at Creative Healing incredible. We participated in one of the DBT courses and even on zoom, we found it effective and would recommend it to anyone who needs it. Honestly, I think it is something EVERY parent and child should go through even if they are not struggling. A great big Thank you to Katie May, Julie and Savanna for just being the best."
"I would 100% recommend Kaitlin Babyak!! I have worked with Kaitlin at an inpatient psychiatric facility as well as supervise her for her LPC. Kaitlin is amazing at developing a great therapeutic relationship with all clients, specifically high risk teens (self-harm, substance abuse, eating disorders, etc.). She is extremely passionate about her work and this shows day in and day out. Whenever I work with other clinicians, I say to myself "would I send my loved ones to this person, would I send my kids to this person." The answer regarding Kaitlin is without a doubt I would, I know my kids and loved ones would be experiencing the best treatment possible and I know that they will start to engage (and possibly love) treatment even if they were initially dreading the thought of starting therapy with someone. I hope this recommendation helps some people out there because I know the frustration and sadness in not being able to find the "right fit" therapist for your loved one who in your heart, you know would extremely benefit from therapy."
"I confidently recommend Katie O’Dwyer for therapeutic services without hesitation. I have and will continue to refer teens to her. She is competent, kind, and relatable. She is able to use her sense of humor and clear communication to put people at ease. She is very thoughtful in her work and tailors her sessions to address individual needs. Her training in sandtray therapy techniques empowers teens who may have difficulty finding words to communicate their feeling, hopes, and needs. This along with her DBT-informed skills training can lead to development of new forms of expression and coping. Katie is able to collaborate with parents and offer evidenced-based education about teen development to parents and teens while remaining focused on teens and maintaining a space in which teens feel free to share openly."
"Katie K. May provides expertise and credibility while having a down to earth, friendly and open demeanor. Her excellent personal skills along with her effective communication abilities shows in her capability to relate with clients and their families. Katie’s passion for her work demonstrates enthusiasm and empathy while challenging her clients to thrive. She is an active listener as well as action orientated which reinforces her authentic desire for her teen clients to succeed. By doing this, she creates a solid foundation where clients feel at home, where teens can envision themselves safe. Katie is committed to advanced training in her field. This training helps her remain relevant and innovative. Her continued learning aids her in identifying best practices for individuals and families seeking her support."
"Katie is one of those rare therapists who is totally down-to-earth and relatable but also absolutely brilliant. I've been part of an international DBT Consultation Team with Katie for the past year and a half, and I have learned so much from her. As the owner and Clinical Director of a large mental health clinic in Canada, it's clear to me that anyone would be lucky to have Katie as their therapist. Moreover, I've observed that she is an excellent judge of character, and while I haven't met her colleagues, I have no doubt that she would hire only the highest calibre of therapist. You (or your child) will be in good hands with Katie and her team."
