"No one ever answers the office phone and I've called numerous times and left several voicemails."
"Mary Martucci is excellent. She really gets me. She also gives me relevant things to think about or read between sessions, which has been helpful. Been coming to BCA on and off over the years and everything has always gone smoothly on the office end as well."
"AVOID AT ALL COSTS. If you want a therapeutic environment at an affordable rate, seek another location. The front desk staff was friendly; however, I would recommend anyone other than William Dougherty for services. I had a family emergency right before an appointment. I called the office to inform them I would not be able to attend our session--to receive a message shortly after saying I would be charged a $50 cancellation fee! I ensured my mother, who had to be hospitalized, could be picked up before returning their call. I was informed that I would NOT be charged the fee due to unforeseen circumstances. Fast forward. I checked my bank statement today, and what do you know... I was charged the $50 cancellation fee. I learned that it is the counselor's discretion whether or not the fee is charged—some therapy. To choose between attending an appointment to avoid a cancellation fee or attending to my mother, who had been hospitalized? No, thank you."
"Stephanie was great with my 9 year old daughter. Made her feel extremely comfortable since day one. Found ways to connect with her and help her figure out her feelings without feeling interrogated. Definitely recommend her!"
"This was my first experience with therapy as a twenty year old woman. I was going through the darkest time in my life, lots of problems at home, toxic environment, unresolved childhood issues, self esteem problems, anxiety, etc. I went to see Stephanie and she would often remind me how in tune I was which I knew. I understood my problems but I needed help on how to move forward. Once I went back to college I had to see Stephanie significantly less. She told me to text her when I needed to make an appointment. So, I would. After I would text her a week would go by without a response. She consistently showed me how as her patient I was not a priority and my problems didn't matter. It was extremely disrespectful to me and hurtful being that I opened up to her so much. After she would not answer me about making a time for me to zoom in for an appointment about my recent grandfathers passing. I decided to stand up for myself and ask her why she was disregarding my texts. She told me I should find someone else to accommodate me. Kicking me to the curb after months of having her as my therapist. DO NOT go to Stephanie. I will never end up going to therapy again after this awful experience because I feel like I could never put trust in someone who could just turn on you."
