Northeast Counseling Services, located at 1601 West 23rd Street in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, is a dedicated institution focused on promoting recovery, resilience, and wellness for individuals, families, and the community. As a full-service community mental health center, we offer comprehensive and effective behavioral health services through a caring, responsive partnership. Our team is passionate about providing client-centered care and is currently looking to add new members in various roles.

Founded in 1971 as a non-profit corporation, Northeast Counseling Services serves residents of central and southern Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, and beyond. Our agency provides a broad array of behavioral health services through organized facilities in Hazleton and Nanticoke, as well as in the community at large. We adhere to recovery principles and offer services to all citizens of lower Luzerne County regardless of age or behavioral difficulty.

Licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and in compliance with federal, state, and county regulations, Northeast Counseling Services offers programs such as the Assertive Community Team (ACT) and Forensic Assertive Community Team (FACT). Our operating hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with extended hours on Tuesdays until 8:00 PM.
