Reviews of Family Psychological Associates
"Would give zero stars if I could this place is trash, they don’t care about mental health at all, they will just drop you as a patient with no warning or notice and claim they “mailed you a letter” and leave you with no way to fill your prescriptions for medication you have been taking for sever depression and PTSD, stuff that you can’t just stop taking cold Turkey. If you actually care about yourself and your loved ones stay away from this place!"
"The front desk staff are not trained to work with mental health, are rude/ short/ invalidating ( all but 1 front desk staff) the director made note of this and recognized this yet no changes have been made. My therapist was amazing and did everything she could for me. The doctor was responsive and open to changing meds if you wanted or keeping them the same if that’s what you were with. However the compliance officer and the owner of this facility are here not for mental health reasons and not because they care about anybody specifically but obviously as we all know they are here for money. They do not care how the patients are treated they only care how their front desk staff feel. They do not care to train their front desk or others in the building on how to handle mental health or what to do if somebody is upset or if something has gone wrong… this causes a lot of triggers and issues with not just me but other clients who have either quit going here or like me were forced to leave. I did not want to leave this was the best therapist I have had in years. But because I was rude on the phone and did not swear and did not make threats and was doing nothing that was harmful to anyone but rather was just short and frustrated and rude I got kicked out. Of course it’s after they took years worth of insurance money. I had even gone as far as to get a blended case manager…. through this agency. All of my insurance money poured into an agency that would remove me from care for what is a regular behavior for someone on a bad day. All of my work that I did with my therapist all of the DBT. All of it just so that a mental health facility could tell me that they are in capable of handling someone who has a bad day and maybe their tone was a little rude…. yet somehow they think they are qualified to handle much bigger trauma cases in much bigger mental health needs…. I thought I had a really great experience here until this incident occurred. Now I will be pursuing civil lawsuit as well as contacting my insurance company."
"Don't go here, unless you've no other option. Everyone is over worked and over burdened and not enough staff overall. Even if they really want to help, they can't. The way their system works for doing any thing is entirely problematic. Causes problems constantly. It's impossible to get the help you really need from this place."
