Reviews of Washington Hospital Center for Recovery & Wellness
"Had an appointment in June here in Greene county, missed the appointment which I take responsibility for but they texted me telling me to call and reschedule. I am dealing with heavy mental health issues and after a nervous breakdown, multiple anxiety attacks and frequent suicidal thoughts i realized it has gotten to a point where I can’t deny the help any more so I finally called back to reschedule. Low and behold the lady on the phone tells me they cannot take me because their new policy states if you no show for an appointment they will refuse to care for you... This is a doctors office, a place to help people with mental health issues and I’m ready to take that step to get help and your turning me away? She continues to state they are a “business” and that they can’t have people not show up for appointments. Okay I understand a portion of that but are you in the business of money or in the business of helping people with mental health problems? Also things happen so your telling me if something happened where I couldn’t contact the office that I would be turned away because I didn’t show up to an appointment? So I told the lady flat out thanks for the help exactly why I don’t trust these “doctors” because they see it as a business and could care less about the people who are dealing with mental health issues. Told her if I take my own life at least I sought help and got turned away and I hung up. Well she calls back and asked if I was currently suicidal I told her no not at the moment but I have thoughts daily and I’m reaching out to seek help from a place that supposedly provides help and they are turning me away? Well how many other people have they turned away because they missed one appointment and wrote them off? This is sickening and absolutely outrageous. So she puts me on hold and says the doctor advised they have to follow their policy and they cannot take me and if I’m suicidal to go to the emergency room. Wow. Thanks for the help! Really appreciate it! You people obviously could care less about what I’m going through I’m just a number and I didn’t show up so now I get punished. Well I will be reporting you guys to the department of health because this “policy” you have is wrong on so many levels. You people should be ashamed of yourselves and I will email and call and do what I can’t to ensure this is reported to the proper channels of authority. So thank you guys for the help! Thank you for caring! Thank you for understanding especially in the pandemic that we are in! So thoughtful and understanding! (All sarcasm) Thanks for nothing."
"Great with children. Highly recommend!"
"If I could give a 0 I would! Apparently they scheduled 4 appointments ahead of time and never told me. So when I needed an appointment for my meds they said they would not take me because I no showed for 4 appointments which was news to me because I had no knowledge of these appointments. So now I’m sitting here without meds and a two month wait time for another doctor. These meds are so crucial for me I have bipolar depression and anxiety and ptsd. I am gonna end up back in the hospital because of these people!"
"This is how I wish every behavioral health facility was run. Very understanding and kind people .front desk people go above and beyond. Good psychiatrists are hard to come by. That's why I'm willing to travel an hour to come here."
"Wonderful group of understanding and supportive individuals!!!"
