Reviews of Joan L Weber MEd LPC
"Joan was amazing, she is so thoughtful and really cared about my situation. She took the time out of her day to check on me and make sure that I was doing good. I haven't felt this comfortable with a therapist in a long time and I truly believe that she cares about her patients. I recommend her for anyone who needs help in relationship counseling and for anyone looking for individual counseling! Great experience!"
"I had a wonderful experience. She has helped me tremendously. She has good insight and is very caring. She is very compassionate. I would recommend her to any individual who is going through any type of anxiety and or any stressful situation whether it be dealing with a relationship, work, or family. Amazing therapist. TY."
"Going to see Joan L. Weber as a therapist has been a great experience for me. She is sooo incredibly compassionate and understanding. First of all she is a very good listener. Secondly she has helped me on the phone between appointment sessions when I had an emergency. She has a very comfortable private office setting. This greatly relieved some of my anxiety about going to a therapist. Every time I have seen her, I have felt soo much better better after our talks. I recommended her to a friend of mine and she also had a great experience. I would recommend Joan Weber as a caring professional who made it so easy for me to discuss my fears without shame or guilt. In my opinion, she's a winner!"
"I saw Joan two or three times. Every time, it was a struggle to reach her via phone or receive a call back. She double booked my very first appointment, and didn't let me know, so I sat there for an hour waiting before I was taken in, and by that time the next folks were there waiting for their appointment, which I was then taking. The sessions talking with her were fine, but I always felt that they were rushed and not much was accomplished at the end of the hour, and most things were repeated each session. Also, she always said she would email me things to review for the next session but never sent anything after any of the sessions. Overall, the whole process was difficult, reaching her via phone was nearly impossible and when we did meet, she generally seemed disorganized and frazzled."
"I read all of the reviews and decided to make an appointment with Joan for myself and my fiance. I only read one not so favorable review where the couple waited in the waiting room for 40 minutes only to leave because there was no communication from Joan or response when they tried to call to let her know they were leaving. We too had that same experience. We were told to arrive 10 minutes early. We showed up at 725 for a 730 appointment, We had already completed the intake paperwork and had some trouble finding her office. We walked into this room with a couch and two chairs, the door was open, there was music playing, a fan was on and on another door there was a sign that said " I will be with you shortly" or something to that extent. We heard no voices in the other room, there was no sign of anyone in that office. 15 minutes went by and we just figured that she had another appointment that ran late. We waited a total of 45 minutes.. I had tried to call several times with no answer. Finally after waiting close to 50 minutes I left her a message to call me back and that we had a 730 appointment and it was close to 20 after 8 and that we were leaving. I am writing this review at 815 am the next day.. I still have not received a phone call to explain what happened. Things happen we both understand that but this was just flat out strange. To wait 50 minutes in a room for an appointment is ridiculous, at least come out and tell us you are running late or there was an emergency..even a courtesy call would have been nice. My fiance drove from Somerset PA to Mt Lebanon to make this appointment as he had been on a job site all day. Not only did we waste time but we did not even receive a courtesy call if there had been some type of emergency. We made every attempt to let her know we were there and waiting. I am COMPLETELY disgusted and could have made an appointment with someone else. I spoke with Joan on the phone when we scheduled our appointment and she seemed very nice and caring.. I am very disappointed with the lack of professionalism this woman has. Don't waste peoples time if you aren't going to follow through with your appointments! At least have the decency to make a phone call to tell them you are running behind or something came up. No one wants to sit in your waiting room for close to an hour waiting for any sign of life behind your closed door."
