"Dr. Laveran is THE BEST! He is so thorough, kind and explained everything to my husband and I. We just had our first baby, our daughter Evelyn, via c-section and I felt so safe with him and confident about his abilities. My section went flawless, he coached me through when there were moments of “pressure.” My daughter was delivered early because of HBP and even though he wasn’t at the hospital, and had office hours that day, he came over to the hospital to deliver my daughter. I cried when I saw him in the hallway. Having him there made all the difference. We are so thankful to him and his practice. They are knowledgeable and guided us through every stage of pregnancy, and answered all the millions of question we had!"
"I had an IUD removal via sedation at Lankenau Medical Center by a different doctor. When I woke up, I had extreme pain during urination outside of what would be considered normal because of the catheter. After going home, I still had a painful burning urethra 5 hours post op and was passing straight blood during urination. I called the hospital with my concerns. Dr. Laveran was on call and was very dismissive despite my pain level and blood. He actually told me I was "silly" when I asked for who administered the catheter earlier and which size catheter was used. Then, I politely asked for his name towards the end of the call, and Dr. Laveran immediately hung up the phone on me. I had to call the hospital again and speak to a nurse to get his name. I'm posting this as a warning for other patients. Dr. Laveran is rude, dismissive, egotistical, and downright offensive. No doctor should be allowed to practice medicine if they are not willing to politely and appropriately respond to patients."
