"I liked the doctor and the office until I realized that they are incapable of dealing with insurance. The receptionist said most insurance companies do not cover the IUD and to call my insurance to confirm they cover it. I called and they said contraceptives were covered under my plan(preventative services at no charge). I called the office, spoke to the receptionist and she said they still want me to pay for the IUD with my money. After the procedure is done, they would bill the insurance company and give me the money back after the insurance company pays the doctor. From my experience working in a pharmacy, it is normal practice for a doctor to submit a claim to the insurance or a prior authorization request so that none of the parties involved spend time or money on a procedure that is not covered. Unfortunately, I thought it would be an easy process and paid with my money for the IUD. On August 1,2022 Dr.Desanti administered the IUD to me. Since that day I have been waiting to receive my money back. I called multiple times and received the response from the receptionist saying the billing guy wasn't in and that she would relay to him that I called asking about my reimbursement. I came to find out from my insurance company, that they do not have a proper billing department. Their billing department is non existent and the doctor "handles" claims. In April 2023, she called me saying she finally resolved the issue of the claim with my insurance company. I called my insurance company and they said she filed the claim incorrectly again. They have tried several times to reach out to the office and it's always voicemail with no call back. They even told my insurance company that her patients know what their insurance covers. Makes no sense because I told them my insurance covered the IUD and yet they still put me through this mess. They presume I am a millionaire and losing 1,000+ dollars does nothing to me. It is so upsetting to be dealing with this and I am continuing to try to get my money back."

"I called to make my yearly appointment and was told that it was too early and insurance wouldn’t pay. So I made the appointment a lot further than I believed it should have been. A few weeks later I called to have a refill on my prescription refilled. Now I’m told the receptionist made a mistake and I need to make an appointment before Doctor will renew my RX. So because of the receptionist’s mistake I need to reschedule my life and order to have the doctor refill my RX. Apparently the doctor doesn’t trust me enough to renew my RX, and allow me to schedule an appointment that works for my busy schedule."
