"Dr. Boulay is simply the best! Walking into a gynecological oncologist’s appointment for the first time was a very frightening experience for me, but Dr. Boulay made it not so bad. He took the time to explain everything and always answered my multitude of questions without making me feel like I was wasting his time asking so many questions. The appointments never felt rushed, and he listened to my concerns. He genuinely cares about his patients and their outcome, and I’m glad I had such a knowledgeable and experienced surgeon! He asked me what my future fertility plans were, and made a plan that coincided with those plans, while taking into account my present health situation. Dr. Boulay is very good at what he does, and was very reassuring to me (it was my first time ever having any surgery). I’m definitely glad I had such an awesome surgeon! The office staff were wonderful too!"

"I was referred to Dr.Boulay at the St. Lukes Er for an Oncologist. My couple of appts with Dr.Boulay were very pleasant, hopeful and reassuring if I would need to have surgery. Unfortunately, I ended up needing to have surgery sooner than I expected due to sudden changes in my health concern. After the abdominal hysterectomy surgery and 3 nights the hospital. Dr. Bouley stated that I was cleared for discharge. I explained to him that I needed 1 extra night as I reside alone and my youngest daughter would be arriving to stsyvwith me after this very invasive and painful surgery. He insisted that I needed to see if someone can pick me up as I was cleared for DISCHARGED! I became so stressed by the unempathy that was now be shown to me. I felt as if now that the surgery is over he is ready to discard me and move on to next payment.!! I called the insurance company and even had to speak to the hospital caseworker filled with anxiety and stressed. They assured me that I would not be kicked out and I could certainly stay if I NEEDED to make sure I was fully ready and have someone in place to assist. I felt very bad. He had certainly asked if I had scheduled a post surgery appt. I certainly now felt negative in following up with him, as he made me feel like all he cared about was money!! I spoke with an hospital manager and she said since he did the surgery and has all the you will be receiving further results from testing from him. Go to the appt and inform him of how he made you feel. Perhaps, if him a chance or choose another oncologist for further care. Overall, after care treatment for me is Very important as this is the time you NEED empathy more than ever as you are dealing with physical, mental and emotional recovery."
