"I am so grateful that Dr. Jennifer Akins asked me to see an OB doctor immediately with post menopausal bleeding in March after the same complaint in January since Dr. Akins wouldn't be able to see me for a couple of weeks because of her schedule. I called the office for an appointment and was immediately booked for an appointment with Dr. Delaney in two days. At that examination, she said she could do a hysteroscopy, polypectomy with or without D&C in a week. Dr.Delaney is a treasure! She is matter of fact, knowledgeable, and responsive to my questions. I was scared when I saw the path results that said endometrial mass on my patient portal. I got to see her a week later and she immediately told me it was benign. A 5 star doctor for sure"

"7 years ago I was a first time pregnant patient and went to Dr. Delaney for care. I was very excited but was going through a lot of problems at home and had anxiety being very young. Dr. Delaney had no consideration for my home life and no bedside manner. She never once asked me about why I was so stressed out and made assumptions which ultimately led to neither one of us wanting me to be a patient in her office after my son was born. As a result of her incompetence, I delivered a preterm baby boy with IUGR which was summed up as “caused by stress”. My birthing plan was completely thrown out the window and this woman put me through 22 hours of induced labor, broken my water after 10, and then told me I was getting a c-section when they knew the baby’s fluid was already low which is why I was admitted to deliver my son at 36 weeks in the first place. Fast forward to now and the reason I am leaving a 1 star review. I am with a much better doctor and delivering my third child soon. I really wanted to deliver natural, an option which has been denied to me previously because my children had complications during pregnancy. I come to find out after 7 YEARS this is not an option for me because Dr. Delaney NEVER CORRECTLY DOCUMENTED ON MY SURGICAL REPORT THAT MY “LOW TRANSVERSE C-SECTION” ACTUALLY WAS A CLASSICAL T-INCISION C-SECTION”! This meant I could NEVER have the choice for natural birth AGAIN. When I asked how this information was never brought to my attention before I was told by my new doctor it was because this woman only documented that she made the classical incision in a ONE WORD SENTENCE HALF WAY THROUGH THE SECOND PAGE OF THE REPORT. My doctor couldn’t believe the mess up and lack of proper documentation. This could have cost me the life of myself and my baby had I gone natural this time, with my new doctor telling me the chance of uterine rupture is now around 25% with natural birth. Dr. Delaney took the option for natural childbirth from me and I will never get that back. Do yourself a favor and go to CHOP or LVHN Cedar crest. Both gyn specialists there listen to your concerns and needs, they have the best NICU for emergencys, and they NEVER make you feel like YOU are the problem. And they don’t mess up a surgical report documentation that could cost you your life."

"I have been a patient of Dr. Delaney’s for the last one year and recently gave birth to twins through a scheduled c-section at 38w1d. I had a high risk pregnancy due to advanced maternal age (36+), gestational diabetes and the fact that I was expecting multiples and Dr. Delaney’s deep knowledge and her helpful attitude enabled me to take the twins to full term. Not only is Dr. Delaney an outstanding expert in her field of medicine, but she is also dedicated to helping her patients 24/7 – I was able to text or call her with urgent questions at any time of the day, nights and weekends and she promptly responded to me. Several times I needed to come into her office to get an unscheduled checkup and her staff members always went out of their way to find me a slot in her busy schedule. On couple of occasions, the doctor even personally let me into her office during lunchtime and gave me a checkup as I was running late from my scan appointment at MFM. In addition to being a caring OB/GYN, Dr. Delaney is an excellent surgeon and thanks to her, I had such a good experience with my c-section. The scarring is minimal and she definitely made this major abdominal surgery look absurdly simple! Above all I was touched by Dr. Delaney’s pleasant bedside manners and charismatic personality. She always had the right advice and words of encouragement for me. My husband and I looked forward to meeting her and even though she was busy, she found time to hear us out and exchange pleasantries with us. Sometimes the wait is a bit long in her office but that is only because Dr. Delaney is attending to emergencies of her other patients, which goes to prove that she has her priorities set right. I am very fortunate to have had Dr. Delaney before and during my pregnancy and will gladly recommend her to anybody who wants to be treated by the best – it is more than worth the wait."
