"I saw Dr. Bellaire for an annual check up. While she asked her first-time client questions to get familiar with my history, she had asked about my diagnoses. I mentioned that I am newly recovering from an eating disorder (returned home from treatment in August). In knowing this she asked me what my weight was before attending treatment (my lowest weight in the past six months), and was completely inappropriate. After letting her know that I am worried to start birth control due to side effects like weight gain, she asked me if I was trying to lose weight and be "in between" my lowest weight and now recovered weight. Again; this was extremely unprofessional, and I am now struggling with the idea that I'm overweight, which medically I am not. I have a hard time understanding this when a "medical professional" is discussing my weight in this manner. Of course, Eating Disorders are not widely understood. However her language, comments about exercise, weight, and "bad foods" have very much affected me. Do not see her if you struggle with body image or an eating disorder. The entire appointment was detrimental to my mental health. I have never had such a bad experience with a health provider, and I will not be returning to her."

"I’ve been seeing Dr. Bellaire since I was 20 years old. Now at age 35 she has safely delivered both of my babies. After having a c section with my 1st baby, I wanted a vbac with my 2nd. Dr. Bellaire was supportive of my wants and open and honest about discussing the risks and benefits involved. She was always willing to answer questions that I had and was supportive and encouraging throughout my pregnancy and labor, ultimately leading to a successful vbac! When in the office there’s never a wait and her staff is warm and welcoming. Dr. Bellaire goes above and beyond for her patients, making sure everyone is safe and healthy. She’s always there if you call with a question or concern and her knowledge and expertise is tremendous.
