"This was an incident I had awhile ago, but withheld as a review because I felt badly. Discussing & thinking on medical issues brought the memory back up. Loved this doctor when I first had her because she was thorough and caring (I would have given her 5 stars for this yearly alone), however she over-treated me for a condition I ended up testing negative for. The antibiotics given to me led to C Diff, and then I had an allergic reaction to the antibiotic given to me to treat the cdiff. I went into her office and told her I thought I had cdiff and she basically told me it was impossible, only people in hospitals get it, and told me to take imodium. Thank goodness I went to Medexpress because I really suffered. This basically threw off the rest of my semester, the time I was supposed to be finishing up and graduating. I couldn’t go to class or teach. I was falling apart due to this illness. Luckily I was able to pull it together, but hardly. When I called her, she later acted clueless as to how I got the CDiff & wouldn’t credit the antibiotic (Clindamycin). Cmon. The illness started the day after I finished the antibiotic she prescribed. The antibiotic didn’t even treat the condition I had really, as I was negative for it, and it cleared up on its own. It just made me really sick. Another doctor told he would never prescribe that for my mild condition (that I didn’t even actually have) as it was too harsh. Oh yeah, and back to that test—labcorp billed me over $800 because my insurance only covered it once (she did it twice). Yes, I had to pay that, because it was out of her hands through labcorp even though it was a charge unknown to me and I was a student. Totally unnecessary test. I hope she has been more careful with billing since."
