"We had Sherry for our first visit (nurse visit) and we loved her. Dr. Bala is very nice and gladly answers any questions and concerns. I know so many people who just love him, so we knew we wanted him to care for us. It's a little scary to be an older OB patient. This is my first child and I'm 38, but Dr. Bala has made things easier. He's very even tempered and professional which I really like."

"Dr. Bala is a great doctor. However, the receptionists are very rude. I’ve had 2 miscarriages. Each time I would call with questions, they would rudely tell me to go the ER. They wouldn’t let me go to the OB lab like most other OB’s do. During my most recent pregnancy, I called to schedule my 24 week appointment. The receptionist rudely said “ Was there not anyone here when you finished your last appointment?” It’s like she was extremely bothered that I called to schedule my next appointment, which nothing was open for six weeks. I told her no because I’d waited almost 2 hours. I waited almost 3 hours to get my initial scan, which could not be scheduled until 12 weeks because they were so booked up."

"I have been a patient of Dr. Bala for 15 years. He delivered my first daughter in 2006 and then both of my boys in 2017 and 2019. I have been blessed to have him as my OBGYN I’ve heard horror stories from some of my friends and family about other local OBGYN’s I don’t have one bad thing to say about Dr. Bala. He is amazing at what he does. He pays attention when I speak and addresses any concerns that I have. I lost a twin while seeing Dr. Bala and the staff were all very comforting. His bedside manner is great. He isn’t rude like many other Dr.’s I’ve seen. He’s personable, light and has a sense of humor. I’m grateful to have been under his care for most of my adult life. I don’t know what I will do when he retires!"

"I have been blessed to have Dr. Bala as my ob/gyn for the last 14 years. He has always treated me as if I'm his most important patient. He takes his time with you, works with your unique situation, and will do anything and everything in his power to make sure you have the best care. I have never had a doctor who invests themselves so much in their patients. Having seen all of the ob/gyns at Wheeling Hospital due to call schedules, I know how blessed I was to be his patient. He is the best around!"
