"To clarify...the Step by Step Drexel Hill (pre-school) location is right next to the cleaners and a small grocery store. The Step by Step Lansdowne (daycare) location is across the street. That building has the administrative office. This was my child's first daycare/pre-k experience. She had a good experience there and did a good amount of learning. And she had a good amount of social growth while she was there as well. There is also a fenced in playground in the back of the building so the kids can get outside and play. In the end I was happy with choosing Step by Step for my child."

"I visited this place for my self. And was impressed with the entire staff , how organized they was and just at the fact that I can tell there was soo much love here. They have kids from every culture here. If one nation under God was a day care ... this would be the place."

"My daughter attended when she was was about 6 months old. Within the first week we was sick. The caretakers in the infant room are clearly smokers. I went to pick my daughter up early one day and she was just laying on the floor (that people aren't suppose to have shoes on in but the caretakers do)."

"First thing first! Whoever gave this daycare a 1 star must be there competition! This is the Best daycare around! Went here when I was a kid for years. Had a great time. Everyone was so nice and now that I'm older i would put my kids in here if i needed to. Hands down best daycare. The owner Veronica is the sweetest woman I ever met. She was always so good to me! I dont write to many reviews but hands down the best daycare! Wouldn't recommend any other daycare center!"

"Step By Step Daycare isn't all bad but could do way better. My children was pulled out due to 2 encounters of physical abuse by a teacher and one verbal threat . I gave them a second chance after the first time because my children had been in their care for quite some time. They did fire the person who the first encounter happened with, so I did continue to leave them there. After the second incident with a different teacher I was disgusted by how the owner veronica crisp handled the situation. Very unprofessional. I asked to see the video footage and she wouldn't show me. Actually ask me if I wanted the number to another daycare. Not all the teachers are unprofessional there. I have come across some good ones. The building on garret rd for the older children is horrible please find a safer/professional place for your child to be. Not all but some teachers there doesn't know how to speak to the children. I have witness with my own eyes and ears teachers cursing around the children, having personal conversation, which children shouldn't hear, listening to music that is also inappropriate. The music I heard one day was talking about sex and drugs. I did bring this to the owners attention. Seems like she called spoke to them about it and it was dismissed. This happened on countless occasions. Wasn't a one time thing. Do yourself a favor and find a safer and professional place for your child or children to be. We as parents want to know that when we leave our children in someones care they are properly cared for and spoken too. Learning in a positive environment, and loved. I don't want to leave my children in a place where they are picking up habits that are very inappropriate."
