"This review is not in response to the work done by the artists at the shop because the work they do looks amazing- hence why I wanted to go there. No, this is in response to the customer service. I’ve been wanting another tattoo and this place seemed really awesome. I picked a specific artist (James) and emailed the shop generically stating I’d like to work with him- and then him specifically with some photos for reference. Several days went by with no response from the shop or him. I finally get an email from someone not even listed on the artist page saying James passed my info along to him and he can book in August. I followed up asking if James wasn’t taking appointments or something, and have received no response. The whole experience is very disappointing as it makes it feel like what I want isn’t extravagant or detailed or expensive enough to get attention from this guy. Very off-putting. There are 1000 amazingly skilled artists in this city and I’m sure they’d like to take my money."

As a Healthcare worker myself, I noticed the staff's superior cleaning standards between clients. James does amazing line work and beautiful, anatomically correct realism. "I cannot recommend 1867 enough! Booking was quick and easy both times I went in. I’ve been tattooed by Kaitlyn and Jake, and both times they made sure the tattoo was placed just the way I wanted & made sure the details of the tattoos themselves were to my liking. They were both super friendly, as well as everyone else in the shop. They made sure I was okay during the tattoos and the tattoos themselves came out amazingly. The shop itself is so cool, and I feel so comfortable being there. I could not recommend this place enough and will continue to visit for my tattoo needs!"
