Aetna

"Have had Aetna health insurance for years. This past year they denied care for the first and third procedure I had for a skin condition, yet covered the second procedure. Same exact codes used for the condition and billing. Their second “review” of my first procedure in early January 2023 was denied again by their medical director. This makes absolutely no sense. They also tell me that after your doctor appeals a procedure twice they’re no longer to appeal again, leaving you, the patient, to appeal. Again- this process makes no sense. I did my due diligence and called Aetna about this procedure beforehand to see if it was covered. They told me which codes the doctor should use to bill this correctly to have it covered. I even found in writing on their website the parameters upon which these procedures would be covered, and screen shot it, which was sent in the appeals my doctors wrote. This insurance company is made up of crooks and liars, who will approve and deny the same exact procedure at their will. Disgusting."

"These mutants do NOT care about new borns. They do NOT care about the mothers. Do NOT use anything offered by these things. They would rather NOT cover a new born, which is supposed to happen, and instead they want to save money. Do NOT trust anyone who hates babies. You have been warned"

"Worst insurance agency I have ever dealt with by far especially Aetna dental. Do not waste your time with them, they have awful customer service never follow through with anything. I had to get the Department of Labor and Better Business Bureau involved before they even moved a finger. Disgusting waste of my time. They should be shut down."

"Our employer recently changed coverage from BC/BS to Aetna. Aetna’s App doesn’t work. I was trying to transfer prescription drugs to their mail order service and the customer service advocate couldn’t get the system to work on her end either to place order. I called back and spoke to an Aetna rep from pharmacy that couldn’t find my husbands doctor, even though I could see his doctor listed on their App. It took over an hour on the phone to request prescription renewals for 4 drugs and I’m holding my breathe that they actually get ordered. The CS rep was very nice but Aetna’s internal systems do not function properly and lead to an awful end user experience."

"Over priced. Treats employees like garbage. Doesn't pay them on time, over charges for customers. Screws over new hirers left n right. Under trains employees and throws them in the floor and both the customer n the employee have to suffer for it. Absolutely horrible company to worwk for or be insured by. Avoid this company at all costs"
