"So this place had great reviews online, had a women’s only program and had dual diagnosis which is addressing mental health as well as substance abuse issues together. Which is the main reason this place was chose for about 15k for 28 days. (No insurance just to be clear on why it was so much) We were sold by an employee of the company that this would be good. Find and balance new meds with doctors over the course of the month where you can see daily good or bad create a balance. And really address both angles of this because as they told us addressing 1 without the other doesn’t solve the problem. Didn’t happen tried 1 medication for less than a week it wasn’t working well then I got off and the psychiatrist wasn’t there the rest of my stay. They did provide sleep meds which makes sense but that’s not what we came for. After the psychiatrist wasn’t there for a week we asked could she leave early and receive pro rated refund back since services were not being provided. Which by the way was asked BEFORE going to the program. But instead of saying yes like we were promised they stalled and said they would get an answer back to us and never got that answer until the 28 days was up. Being unsure if we would stay the full 28 days we made sure to ask if we are uncomfortable or unproductive can we leave because it’s a lot of money and they said yes it would be prorated. Don’t listen to that Shady business practice Services are not as described. Asked for help to find sober living before leaving because like I said that part was good. They did not help with that, and they made it difficult to even have the cell phone at the residence to research and find a place. So upon leaving there was no plan and left to fend for ourselves. Only reason 2 stars is because the sober living house part of it was good. Nice place, cool activities but if you’re going for anything more than sober living stay away and save your money."

"I came here after treatment not wanting to attend any aftercare. After 3 days here, seeing how well this program was run, how the groups were conducted, how professional the staff was and how clean the facility was I asked to extend my stay here. They obliged and through my time here I was given every opportunity to better my life and give me the best chance at recovery possible. I would recommend this place to anybody that needs a life changing experience. Thank you Garden State Treatment Center"

"First off, this is not my first time at Garden State. The facilitated clinical groups are awesome!! Jim, Jess, Shannon, and Ryan are knowledgeable and amazing! My Therapist was Jennifer, she was absolutely perfect and gave me a safe space to talk! Also - huge shout out to the Techs—Andy, Brooke, Bri, Jenn, and Jess. They made my stay wonderful, and quickly felt like I was part of a sober- family. All while they maintained professionalism and top-notch care. As Leaders, Nicole and Jimmy handled the tough situations with love and respect and managed staff awesomely!"
