"I'm sort of embarrassed that I ever stepped foot into this place. Admittedly, I'm a misanthrope who doesn't go out and socialize very often, but I really do believe in treating all other human beings with respect, dignity, and courtesy. Further, if I sit down at the bar in a tavern I assume the responsibility of being warm and welcoming to all, because that's generally what the owners of taverns want from people who are sitting at the bar. Warm and welcoming people sitting at the bar is what makes a place popular, after all. The people operating After Hours seem to have the exact opposite philosophy. I was polite and kind. The bar tender was also being polite and kind. I tipped generously. Then a group of cliquish regulars came in. I never met any of them in my life, but one of them was the Queen Bee type who likes to lift herself up by pushing others down. She immediately started being extremely rude with me. The bar tender was obviously very keen to ingratiate herself to Queen Bee and also started being very rude. I was made to understand in pretty much the rudest possible way that I was no longer welcome. Queen Bee types are everywhere. I understand that. But when the bartender participates in that sort of nastiness toward a customer who has treated them with respect, dignity, kindness, and generous tips, then that's a place to avoid."
"Great food. I don't know if she's still there, but Lorrie was my one college crush. We never dated, but it wasn't for the lack of me trying. I'm 49 now, so that was a lifetime ago."
"The subs are the best I have had and I lived in Erie for years. The service is great and they have all been very kind."
"Great place, great people. Food is really good. Small town bar. You don't have all the fighting and stuff that most bars have."
