"Las Puertas is a phenomenal restaurant, one of the best Buffalo has to offer, easily of the same caliber of any restaurant in Brooklyn. Creative tasting menus, constantly changing, with inventive twists on Mexican cuisine like grilled plantain with pink mole, and a ridiculously good pork chop with a side of bone marrow. On the pricey side for Buffalo but very much worth it."

"My father took us here to celebrate our birthday the other night, and he was so excited. This was astonishing as he is your regular meat and potatoes guy — but has lately been open to expanding his tastes. This was absolutely the place to do so. The atmosphere was so cozy and warm for my family and I. They were playing great music. On our way in someone shouted to us to try the Smokey old fashioned, so we heeded their advice and wow am I glad we did. One of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. Every single course slapped. I’m pretty critical when it comes to tasting menus as I think part of the fun is dissecting the course and really immersing yourself in the experience. There were a couple that I wasn’t overwhelmed by (cold fish is a texture thing to me, not necessarily on the chef—flavors were still good). Overall we had a beautiful intimate family dinner and I’m so happy I got to cherish that time with my parents. I think that is truly what food is about and what Las Puertas is able to achieve. I know some people will balk at the price, but this is pretty standard expense for this type of experience. If you have the ability, please go here. You will not be disappointed."
