The Capital Grille

"This place was a big letdown. I’ve heard so many good things about The Capital Grille that maybe I went on an off night, but the food did not live up to the hype. Let me just say that the service and atmosphere were top notch. I just wish the food was better. The calamari was decent and the coconut cream pie was amazing. Seriously, one of the best desserts I’ve had recently. It was the main courses and sides that were to be desired. The filet mignon was cooked to my specifications, but was flavorless. It was topped with lobster tails that looked more like shrimp and I didn’t care for the sauce. For the sides, the au gratin was dry and the first potato I picked up was half black. Creamed spinach had too much cream and lacked flavor. Overall, we had a good night with the exception of the food. Unfortunately, based on my experience with the main courses, I cannot recommend The Capital Grille."

"My husband and I had a great birthday dinner at Capital Grille! Our server, Matthew, was excellent and even made sure we weren’t on any time constraints when we mentioned it was our first time out as new parents. All of the food was wonderful and I particularly loved the cheesecake for dessert. As a couple who rarely goes out for a nice dinner, we had a very comfortable and approachable experience and will surely return for special occasions."

"This is single-handedly the most delicious cheesecake I have ever had. It’s creamy and has a nice crunch on the top. Beautifully presented. I was seated with my group in a small room with a few tables. The restaurant is very high tech but it feels very elegant."

"My wife and I came here for our anniversary dinner and it was completely worth it. Not only was the food terrific, but the staff and our server Uriah went above and beyond to make our evening special. The Prosciuotto-wrapped Mozzarella and the French onion soup were delicious. My NY strip steak was cooked perfectly to my liking and the Sea Bass that my wife ordered was lovely. The chocolate espresso cake and the creme brulee cheesecake (provided as complementary for our anniversary) were the perfect wrap-up for the evening. Highly recommend this place for your special occasions, or if you just want to eat some terrific steak."

"Luisa was a great server. She recommended the black tie margarita and I enjoyed it. My steak was a tad bit over cooked. I went for lunch on a weekday around 2. My steak was supposed to come with mashed potatoes, but they ran out. That’s disappointing from a fine dining establishment. The steak and sauce was good, crab Mac & cheese was good, spinach and potatoes Au gratin were fine. Shrimp cocktail was good. CRAB LOBSTER CAKE WAS TO DIE FOR!!! Order it !!!! I received a delicious dessert sample for my birthday. The ambience was nice, modern, and simple. Thanks Luisa for being a cool server."
