Reviews of Savers Thrift
"So excited to see a thrift store open in this area. Unfortunately, a lot of the items were very expensive, more so than other thrift stores. The kid's clothing section (sizes 5 and up) isn't that large, and a dress or a nice top average at around $6-$8, but I've also seen girl's dresses here priced at $25. Many of the kids' shoes are just way too expensive for being thrifted. $20 for a pair of dirty New Balance. At that price, I could find something comparable on sale, brand new, for not much more. Most of the toys, books, and even women's clothing were in the same price range as other thrift stores, though maybe on the upper end of what you would pay. I went the first week they opened on customer loyalty day, and they told me that the customer loyalty discount didn't apply opening week, so points off for that. I've been back a couple of times since, and have found a few things that I've purchased - mostly books - though many things I have put back because of the higher price. I have also noticed on subsequent trips that the higher priced items were still sitting on the shelf. Not sure who is going to buy a small squishmallow for $10.50 when you can get one new for less. On the plus side, this store is clean and organized, even the toy section, which is always a disaster at any thrift store."
"Came for the first time to find a last minute birthday gift for my toddler and was impressed with the toy selection. There are so many toy cars and trucks in good condition. Many other reviewers noted high prices but I found prices to be mostly reasonable — $2-3 for kid clothing items, and my got a table cloth for $1.99"
"I really wonder who decide the prices for the items and what go though their mind when set the price… The prices are so ridiculous high, shopping at this location feels like getting robbed by a charity… a tiny wood frame for 8 bucks? Everything is just so overpriced (tons of stuffs are way surpass the brand new ones’)… if you decided to shop here, just to purchase online or head to the nearby Unique (or any other thrift stores) and get a instant 50% discount…"
"I'm excited to finally have a large (non-Goodwill) thrift store nearby! Well organized and clean. A little pricey but I think it's in-line for what I see at 2nd Avenue. I went on a Monday for the 25% off which made it better. Really good clothing selection, I didn't really look at the furniture or anything else."
"We were so excited for the store to open close by. Of course, it’s very clean since it just open and very organized. However, we found the items unbelievably expensive. You can get brand new items for the same price especially the home goods and clothing. We saw an unbranded pair of snow pants for $24.99 and a broken air fryer for $18.99. A izod men’s shirt for $16.99. It seems the linens are more reasonable. They were selling TWO (who donates two Bobby pins but) Bobby pins for $1.99. On the way out, we saw a woman and she asked why we didn’t buy anything and we said the prices were too high and she said she was there a few days ago and a cup had a but $4.99 sticker on it from a store and they put a $9.99 sticker on it. FOR A GLASS! Also annoying when you want a receipt when you drop it off, you have to go online."
