"I purchased a 12 pack of Breakfast Seltzers for a brunch in March 2021 for $20. One of the cans I opened had about half of the liquid already gone from it, which I thought was strange. I tasted it and it was horrible. Other people at our brunch agreed they didn’t taste good either. I checked the expiration date on the cans, and they expired in September 2020, 6 months ago. I called the store to tell them, they said to bring them back in and I could get a refund or pick something else out. When I brought the expired product and cans from the ones we opened back in, they said these are empty, you drank half the pack and said best they could do is to refund $10. I said no, I would like a full refund because I was sold a product that expired 6 months ago. They refused and they also said they checked with the owner and that $10 is what they could offer me because I “drank” half the pack. I stated we drank 5 sips from 5 cans and dumped the rest out, the product was 6 months past expiration. Again they refused and said $10 take it or leave it. I ultimately left it, and opened a dispute on my credit card. A company that sells someone an expired product from 6 months ago should make it right, and not nickel and dime a new customer, who will never return."
