Reviews of Fine Wine & Good Spirits #4816
"The "manager" here will refuse to sell you alcohol for any made up reason she can think of and act rude as hell to you the entire time. She doesn't wear a name tag and refuses to give you her name so she clearly does this all the time."
"I called them and asked if they had things in stock they did they were so helpful and got things ready for me and I swooped in and picked everything up I give them at 10!"
"I dropped a bottle and broke, lost all the wine. I stopped in another day and spoke with a manager and asked if I could bring back the broken one. He said yes. Today I drove 10 miles to “exchange” for another one and Christine B. refused. What could their $11 bottle of wine possibly cost them? $1.00? I’ll never give them another penny."
"By far the worst experience I have ever had in a retail store. I'm from out of state but from where I'm from it's not good business to be beyond rude to your customers. You'd think for being the only liquor store I could find they would at least attempt to keep a good appearance. Didn't get a hello when we talked in, dirty dirty dirty floors, water leaks from the ceiling. And a smell I've never smelled in any liquor store ever. It was like death. I walk in with my girlfriend and her sister, me and my girlfriends sister being of age to buy alcohol, my girlfriend is not, but we were buying for her mother for a late Christmas gift. We get to the register and that's when we encountered the nastiest, rudest, most disgusting conversation I've ever had the displeasure of having with someone in a business environment. She asks for all of our IDs, which I'm not used to, because in NY you don't have to show ID to enter a liquor store. So I ask my girlfriend to leave because she's not of age. Cashier goes "You shouldn't have even walked through that door let alone pick anything out. Next time, stay out and don't bother". She goes "im picking out a gift for my mom but whatever" and goes to leave before she's hit with a "Yeah do I look like an idiot who was born yesterday?" Harsh much? Clearly not the owner. So I give my ID and I'm getting asked questions about it like my address, birthyear, and even class of license. I answer them all accurately because it's a real drivers license I've had for years. Cashier goes "it's a fake. I know fakes like the back of my hand" I said "no it's not. I'm from new york. Scan it" so she did, and it came up expired. I check, it is. By a few days. I had absolutely no idea. Whatever, it's fine. We'll have my girlfriends sister buy it. Nope. Completely refused her service because she was with me. Didn't even check her license. Had to call an old friend to buy the stuff for me. I had no idea it could be incredibly difficult to buy alcohol when you're legally allowed to. And then to be treated like garbage was adding insult to injury. Absolute disgusting experience."
"Every time I go in my fiancée and I a get weird looks from the employees. I understand that we look fairly young but it's not a great feeling to walk in and instantly get a stink eye. To add they pretty much want to get rid of all the younger people it seems. We are usually rushed to leave compared to older people. We'll get a hello and goodbye/thank you while older customers will have a little conversation going. Other than that we never had an problems shopping here. Just wish the employees were more friendly."
