Welcome to Þe Old Tome Emporium & Bookstore, located at 181 Main Street in Afton, New York, United States. Our institution is not just a book store, but also a home goods store and jewelry store, offering a unique shopping experience for all.

In addition to our wide selection of books, we also host events such as the Afton Historical Society on Wednesdays from 9 am to Noon, and the Daughter of the American Revolution Genealogy Roundtable Night every 2nd and 4th Wednesday's from 6-8pm at Hope Congregational Church in Afton, NY.

"An incredibly warm environment being a huge asset in our community. It has an inviting atmosphere with tea's and coffees offered. You may only have 5 minutes to look over the vast selection of books, magazines, periodicals, plus the Dewey decimal system and end up spending hours there! Really a gem in disguise. Afton is becoming more enriched every day with shops like this!"
