"I had an absolutely terrible experience here. My family has been going to him for many years. I booked an appointment a year ago for 5:30. It’s when I book every appointment. I show up at 5:27 and he won’t see me. They claim my appointment was at 5:15. Apparently he unilaterally changed it and then texted it to the wrong patients phone number. And because he claims I was 12 minutes late, he wouldn’t see me and treated me very terribly. No apology for sending the change to the wrong number. Honestly, not worth the hassle. He ran me up big bills for procedures that didn’t even work. Save your money and go elsewhere. Response to below: I am surprised you are saying that. The lady at the front desk was delighted to see me leave and was happy to note “Dr. Martins has plenty of patients and doesn’t need your business.” With that attitude, we shall see if that continues."
"Dr. Martins is my dermatologist for more than 15 years. I drive for more than 40 mins, without traffic, to make sure he is the one taking care of me. Dr. Matins is knowledgeable, extremely professional, and cares deeply about his patients. Recently I was in Kentucky and had an outbreak, he immediately sent my prescription to the closest pharmacy and scheduled an appointment upon my return. He is the best dermatologist I ever had. I highly recommend him."
"I have been a patient of Dr. Martins for a many years now, and he is an excellent Doctor. My issue is with his new practice. On a recent visit, and annual cancer screening, he found something he wanted to biopsy. In the past, he simply pulled out a razor kit and sliced off the small area and sent it in. This time, he said I had to make a second appointment for the biopsy. When I queried why I had to take off a 2nd day from work, and pay a second $50 co-pay for something that would take just a minute, he said it was because the new practice policy is that "If they did it on the same visit, they would only get $20 from the insurance company, if they schedule it for a different day, they will get full payment". Now later, when I pressed this with the office manager, she said that was not true, that they do it on the same day, it backs up his schedule, and he is always on time. This was not my experience. I waited 10 min past my appointment time in the waiting room (I have never been seen on time), and according to her, he did not have time to do a 1 min slice. I'm not buying it. Sure, if the biopsy work was many removals, that would take substantial time, that would be understandable. I believe Dr Martin's explanation, as this makes a whole lot more sense, and it comes from the actual Doctor."
