Reviews
"Circle Players is a longstanding community theater in Piscataway. The group of local talents strives to present plays (and the occasional musical) that are off the mainstream. Over the years they have offered fine productions of THE LION IN WINTER, JANE EYRE, THE FANTASTICKS, YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU, THE SKIN OF OUR TEETH, LOST IN YONKERS, THE GLASS MENAGERIE, CHESS, lots more the names of which I can't recall but which live happily in memory. Most recently I saw THE NANCE , the story of a gay performer during the last days of burlesque. The company usually pay attention to details in costumes, props, scenery, sound and lighting. Ticket prices are reasonable for live theater. The stage is "in the round," offering a very intimate experience for the audience. They offer refreshments pre-show and during intermission. Be prepared for limited parking and no wheelchair accessibility."
"Cozy space that puts on incredible productions in the round. Only caveat - this space is NOT wheelchair-friendly although the staff will do their best to help you get into the performance space if they can."
"Its a place to go for people love theatre in its truest form. Though small, this theatre in the round has produced some amazing performances. The cast are so creative, I love watching pieces there for the first time. I love watching the Circle Player rendition of plays I have seen before even more. Don't hesitate to go."
"I have seen some of their performances, and have even been part of the crew, (Dresser in "Kimberly Akimbo"), and have been impressed by their level of professionalism. Circle Players is a little gem of a theatre! Presently I'll be part of their new production, "Almost, Maine," as a crew member, and I'm looking forward to the experience."
