"More than once I have found hair in my food. Tonight is the last of me ever eating here. It almost feels as if the two pieces of hair are thrown in the bowl purposely and intentionally. I am disgusted because out of all the times I ordered my food here, sometimes 3, 4 platters per order- out of each time, two pieces of hair were always on one of the bowls. Please do better."
"We ate here yesterday. Ladies behind the counter were nice. I got chicken and my husband got steak. Took leftovers of both home to our son. Husband got violently sick within an hour of being home. Son took a little longer. Thankful I was fine. DO NOT eat the steak! Both of them had food poisoning!"
"I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Halal Guys, and while it didn't quite match the nostalgia of the original street cart food, it still delivered a satisfying meal. The white sauce, a hallmark of The Halal Guys' cuisine, came remarkably close to the original street cart flavor. It added that creamy, tangy kick that I've come to love. However, I did notice that the hot sauce and rice lacked a bit of the boldness and depth of flavor that I remembered. Nevertheless, when combined, the flavors worked well together, creating a tasty ensemble. What truly stood out was the excellent service I received. The staff was attentive and courteous throughout my meal, making the dining experience enjoyable. However, there was one drawback—the request for a tip on the machine after payment for simply doing their job. That's a practice I find quite off-putting and it deserves to be called out. A tip should reflect exceptional service that goes above and beyond, not just routine tasks. While the food at The Halal Guys isn't what I would call inexpensive, considering it's primarily rice and sliced meat, it's worth noting that the atmosphere of the restaurant is enjoyable and clean. The only downside is the aluminum chairs, which can be a bit chilly and less comfortable. On the upside, their sturdiness ensures they can be used as weapons by disgruntled customers, so there's that, so watch out cashiers! In conclusion, The Halal Guys delivers a satisfying meal that's reminiscent of the beloved street cart experience. Despite a few flavor nuances and the tip request, it's a place where you can enjoy a delightful, well-prepared meal in a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Here's hoping they compensate their servers fairly for their work."
"Beautiful clean space, delicious food and great customer service! Plenty of parking space! Loved the beverages on their menu, so refreshing!"
"A great meal in Bull Run. According to their website, “The Halal Guys’ incredible journey begins in 1990 with our three Egyptian founders. They first started a hot dog cart in New York City, then pivoted to selling halal food to Muslim taxi drivers who at the time had few outlets for authentic halal food in the five boroughs.” The franchise has expanded rapidly, capturing the hearts and taste buds of food enthusiasts across the United States. Today, they have successfully expanded their presence, with numerous locations nationwide. In the United States alone, there are over 100 restaurants, showcasing the brand's rapid growth and widespread appeal. During my recent visit to Virginia, I had the pleasure of experiencing the exceptional flavors offered by The Halal Guys. The restaurant is in the corner of a set of stores with plenty of parking right in front of the location. You order at one side and pick up at the other end of the counter. The menu is on the back wall. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly to a first-time customer like me. I tried a gyro with white sauce. It came out quickly and was delicious and was reasonably priced. In conclusion, the Halal Guys stands as a testament to the success of a small food cart that transformed into a nationwide sensation. This is a great restaurant that I hope opens a location close to me in the future as I enjoyed this experience so much from the food to the people."
