"Dr Simmons mismanaged my pain pump. He kept me on high doses of oral opiates while microdosing my pump without anything but single pain medication going into the catheter. My first refill was done by a doctor who had never done this before and a non medical device representative was instructing him by her cell phone!! The pump wasn’t turned back on for an entire month. He ghosted me for the almost 2 years I had the device in. Horrible spasms and increased pain until I demanded he remove it due to a diagnosis of metal hypersensitivity by Head Dermatologist at University of Maryland MC."
"I had been a long time patient. I never ever gave a bad urine I did all that was asked. The newest PA Y. Roane accused me of not taking my meds correctly or selling them. I was so insulted! Another time a few years back Dr. Zimmerman did a nerve conduction test. She did the test, while I was getting dressed she said you have MS. I said REALLY?! How do you know? This is the first I am hearing of it. She said oh my and rushed out of the room. I could not find her after I was dressed. I do not have MS. I left the practice a year ago. I am so glad the Annapolis office is closed now. It used to be a great practice. No more."
"My wife went to Dr. Zimmerman who totally understood my wife's condition and scheduled an injection. Dr. Zimmerman explained that they are not allowed to give pain medication anymore because of so many people getting addicted to them and abusing them. We understood that because we have read about it and heard about it on the news. It is unfortunate that the Feds won't allow people with debilitating pain get pain medication but it is not Dr. Zimmerman's fault. The new thing suggested is medical marijuana."
"Terribly run office. While Dr Tham and Sophia are both knowledgeable and do actually care, both have made mistakes in prescription dosage - and have refused to acknowledge it or apologize. A few staff members there are consistently good, but overall there is an extremely high turnover rate, & many of the employees seem to not care about patients at all. Urgent phone calls go unreturned, I've been placed on hold for unreasonably long times (once over an hour). The P.a.s - whom you are forced to see because it's impossible to get in with Tham in less than 6 weeks - are straight up incompetent, unable to even do simple math to write correct prescriptions. Stay away if at all possible!"
"Got discharged because I missed appointments due to serious medical conditions, such as a major surgery. Didn't even get enough medication to last me until I find a new place. As another reviewer has said, I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Staff is great in the front, but management is horrible and doesn't care about the patient. Smh, and this is supposed to be a place for taking care of people!? How ridiculous!"
