"I’ve never experienced a more unprofessional experience with a medical care provider. I chose “Dr.” Ukaegbu because I really wanted a Black woman doctor who I felt would take me seriously. Unfortunately I now realize I was deeply misguided in my choice. From her calling me prior to the appointment to tell me “she may not have time” to process my paperwork because she does not prioritize paperwork (not sure what this even means) to the office assistant who doubles as a nurse but is clearly a relative with no medical credentials (to his credit he’s clearly doing his best to provide a decent client experience, more than one can say for the “doctor” herself), to the sudden unexplained fees, the sketchy, dark corner the building is located in, and the dusty office that looks nothing like any healthcare facility I’ve ever seen, there are many issues with this practice. Records do not seem to be kept and they conveniently forget to mention things like necessary fees and forms until after the appointment. My two biggest issues, however, are the “doctor”‘s communication style, and the utter lack of professionalism overall. She is openly rude and becomes even more so if the (paying) patient has the gall to ask questions, like for an explanation of fees or for an invoice. (Quote from an email: “Please I am busy with patients and may not have time to continue emailing you. I have really spent a lot of time trying to explain things to you. My priority is taking care of my patient.” This comes after my asking the same questions repeatedly because when I would ask more than one question in an email, she would respond by answering only one of them and neglecting to attach requested documentation, ie an invoice, which I’ve never before been refused by any professional but never received one from this practice.) Another issue was that she refused to relinquish my medical records to another physician’s office until I paid a fee (a policy I’ve never encountered before but it is written in her policy agreement, so okay) but even after my requesting a link or way to pay more than once, she neglected to send any way for me to pay, instead continuing to send rude, aggressive, and dismissive messages. It took me requesting a link to the payment portal three times before I was able to get details and pay. I was willing to overlook many of these issues, but the nature of how I was spoken to by this “doctor” was a bit too far. It is difficult to trust that someone who’s willing to talk to patients the way she does will have patients’ wellbeing at the top of mind. I would *highly* recommend avoiding if at all possible."

"I have been a patient of Dr.Alice for almost a year now and Dr.Alice always take the time to listen to my concerns before recommending any treatment. During our secessions Dr.Alice always refers to me as my dear and with Dr.Alice, I understand that medication is a choice, not a requirement. Dr.Alice actually takes the time to call me when I was experiencing side effects from one of my medication. This was a minute after I texted her. Who does that? Dr.Alice is truly wonderful and I cannot say enough good things about her. Thank you for taking such good care of me Dr.Alice!"
