Reviews of Walk-in Medical Care
"Update added at bottom of review after receiving a response from the owner. Beware. Refused to treat me because they took 2 hours to get to me and then it was 7pm (closing time). Refused to treat my wrist lacerations and was recommended to put topical treatment and/or go elsewhere. On the way out the door the doctor had me speak to the manager/owner over the phone (awkward) to who I explained what happened. All I needed was light medical care and post-care instructions that was refused due to the time. Currently 7:23 but I was waiting there since before 5PM. I'll make sure this review is a fair trade off for the wasted 2 hours of my life sitting in a room full of sick people. Update: First off, don’t lie. Owner did not tell me they could treat me when I spoke to him over the phone after 7pm. Secondly, are you sharing my PHI without permission? I can disclose what I want publicly but not you. Possible HIPAA violation. The Privacy Rule protects all "individually identifiable health information" held or transmitted by a covered entity or its business associate, in any form or media, whether electronic, paper, or oral. I think everyone should consider another option before coming here to avoid what I went through."
"It was my first time & fortunately the wait was not too long. The doctor was thorough & ran some tests. All results were negative so did not prescribe unnecessary medications."
"I chose this place because my wife had kidney pain and they accepted walk-in patients. Since we knew that my wife had passed kidney stones before, I emphasized this issue in the introduction. They charged us $115 because we didn't have insurance. While my wife was writhing in pain, the doctor asked only a few questions, did some checks with her hand, and told her that she might have a kidney infection and that we should go to the hospital. Now I'm asking, did you take 115 dollars from me to tell me about my illness, which I already knew about and mentioned at the entrance, and to refer me to the hospital? If it is not your area of expertise and it is a situation that you cannot intervene in, why did you delay us? Keeping my suffering wife waiting for a disease for which you have no expertise and which you cannot intervene in, just to get money, does not comply with healthcare ethical values. In return for your ridiculous and market-like approach, I will announce this and complain about it on all platforms."
"BEWARE OF THIS DOCTOR OFFICE!! I came into the office with shortness of breath, painful cough, and a fever. I have asthma and ran out of my inhaler and asked to get a asthma treatment and prescribed oral steroids to open up my lungs because I’m have difficulty breathing. The doctor told me that my lungs sound perfect and told me I didn’t need a asthma treatment and said that they are going to prescribe me oral steroids, antibiotics, and asthma pump, and a asthma pump with steroids. I called the pharmacy and they said they don’t have anything on file for oral steroids and the asthma pump with steroids is not covered by my insurance. They said they attempted to contact the doctors office and they haven’t received a response. I called the doctor office and they said I see that he was supposed to prescribe the oral steroids let me talk to him and they will call me back. I wait about 30 minutes and call the pharmacy and they said they still haven’t heard back from the office. I called the doctor office again and ask to speak to the doctor and explain to him I have a history of bad asthma and I need oral steroids to help open up my lungs since I am having difficulty breathing. He tells me in order for him to prescribe the steroids I need to take a pregnancy test and come back in and they will give me a asthma treatment. At this point I am having a very hard time breathing and I am desperate for treatment. I arrive at the office and all I do is take a pregnancy test which came out negative and just had me wait in the room for 30 minutes. The doctors comes back in and claims that I have a blood clot in my lung and he is not going to prescribe me oral steroids or give me an asthma treatment and recommends for me to go to the hospital. At this point I am terrified and on the verge of tears. I arrive at the hospital and the doctor first gives me an asthma treatment and steroids and said whoever the doctor that claims you had a blood clot in your lungs should get their license revoked. I have never received such horrible treatment from a doctor office and blatant regard for human life."
"As for my experience, it was wonderful, because when I visited the place, I was very sick and in terrible pain. I was received very quickly without waiting for a long time. The doctor is very skilled and professional. He determined the type of health problem I suffer from and prescribed me the appropriate medicine to treat the problem. I thank him very much, and now, thank God, I have improved."
