Reviews of Harford Gastroenterology Associates
"I have been seeing Dr. Eiad Nasser for a couple of years now and he has truly helped change my life. In addition to routine check ups, he conducted my endoscopy and helped me discover my celiac diagnosis, among other digestive issues. He never forced medication upon me and always took the time to explain what was going on and what I can do to manage things as naturally as possible. He even connected me with my current dietician who has been wonderful. More recently, my PCP ordered some imaging which showed alarming results and told me over the phone that I needed surgery--no in-person discussion, no options, no referrals. My anxiety was through the roof and recognizing that the results pertained to my digestive system, I reached out to Dr. Nasser right away. It was the holidays and he was on leave, but his nurse Mandy was a true life saver in responding to me quickly and quelling my nerves. She even had another doctor review the scans and provide their comforting input which helped me feel so much better while I waited for Dr. Nasser to return back to work. They were able to get me in the office quickly once Dr. Nasser returned and he took the time to review everything and clearly explained what the results meant and how to manage moving forward. More importantly, he confirmed that I in fact do NOT need surgery! I saw some comments about the front desk not answering phones. I can't relate to that issue, as I use my patient portal to communicate with Dr. Nasser's staff. They are extremely responsive via messaging through the portal, in as little as an hour or two most times. Long story short, I am finding a new PCP and will continue recommending Dr. Nasser to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate GI physician."
"Very unprofessional…had colonoscopy scheduled as a need to an issue I was having, after a long wait for appointment, the start of the procedure prep started, fasting and getting ready to start prep drinks, a clerk not doctor called and cancelled. Reason given by clerk was anesthesiologist not comfortable not in the hospital for procedure. They had 4 weeks to decide on procedure. Shows me no one even cared to look at my records until last minute. Took leave from work, arranged for others to take off so I could have driver. NOT happy, WILL NOT reschedule with this clinic, they just lost a patient. Very unprofessional that either Dr Parks or Mu did not make the call but had their clerk do so and just before start of prep., within literally minutes of opening packages to start. I just hope nothing serious is discovered by their lack of concern. By the way the next appointment for in hospital procedure was at least 2-3 months away."
"I saw Dr. Mu for about a year. Each time I went to see him, I had to remind him of who I was, what he diagnosed me with, when I was diagnosed, what scans I already had done, what medications we have tried, and what medications he said we would try next. He did not care enough about me as a patient to glance over my medical records while I was VERY sick (Crohn’s disease) and begging for help. I once left him 4 voicemails after he had cancelled my scheduled appointment for no reason, and then told me 2 months later when I finally could get in to see him that I “should have come to see him sooner.” He treated me as if I was just another unimportant patient when I was sobbing to him asking him to help me get better. DO BETTER, DR. MU. People are suffering and come to you for help, not to be made to feel belittled and unheard. I understand that doctors in the United States healthcare system have limited time to give to patients, but what a waste of my time, money, and agony for a year waiting for him to get his s**** together and help me. If you are reading this review before going to Harford GI, go somewhere else now before you get robbed of your precious time and money too!!!!!"
"Terrible communication and customer service! I was referred to this office for a colonoscopy and I called to schedule an appointment. No one answered and my call was never returned. It must be nice to have the ability to run a business that way. I changed my referral to another provider because if their communication is any sign of how they conduct operations, I don't trust them to provide sound medical care."
"They do not follow up with patients or try to help patients in any way. My husband called to make an appointment and was told he needed to submit paperwork ....and he did in June. So we waited for a phone call or a letter, and nothing. Here we are, February, still haven't been seen. Hubby called two days ago and they were like oh yeah, you sent the paperwork, but we need you to redo them again. After arguing, the lady said okay, we will review them and get back to you. Horrible service. Sacred to even go in and receive service from them."
