"This place is absolutely the worst. Their lead bodyman Rick lied to me and told me he owned the shop.. Anyway to hasten the story. I needed him to repair the bumper on my escalade. He assured me he could and gave me a price. The next day I called his phone and asked him how much to paint the whole truck. It's black and just wanted a fresh paint job. He again assured me it would turn out beautifully. After waiting from Nov- April he promised it would be done. Upon receiving the truck I immediately saw what a horrible job he did. He absolutely ruined my escalade esv paint job and the bumper was never repaired properly. Didn't wanna take it but had a family that required me to drive. When I returned to complain I found out he was not the owner and the lady assured me it would be handled. I gave it back and after waiting weeks and weeks again I went to pick up the truck and it was almost worst than the first time. Never ever do business here."
"I can't imagine having other families going through this situation, so if this can help at least one family avoid this situation it is worth sharing. Today is February 1st, 2023. One of our work trucks (2019 Dodge Ram 2500) was in an accident at the beginning of July 2022. It has already been 7 months since our work truck has been getting "fixed". When the insurance adjuster referred us to take the truck to this shop, we took that to mean that Top Shelf Auto was a reputable, serious, and responsible business establishment. After many months, and MANY different stories that do not align, and aprox. over 30K in insurance payments, we are now being told that the truck does not start and that they can't send the truck to the dealership until the truck has a bumper on it. We are also being told it does not have head lamps. This is a completely different story from what was communicated back in September/October. In September we were told the truck was completely "fixed" and just needed to go to the dealership for alignment, but now the truck doesn't even have a bumper nor does it START ? How is that even possible? There was a different story they fed around that same time frame, but I can't keep track of all the deceitful information that was communicated by Top Shelf. This information was only relayed after my call this afternoon informing them that if we didn't hear from someone we would be going down to the shop tomorrow to pick up the truck. Every time we called prior to yesterday we were told that someone would call us back with an update, but nobody would ever call back. Additionally, everytime we call from our personal numbers that come up on caller id, our calls get ignored, when we call from unknown numbers our calls get picked up. They were very quick to drive over an hour away to our house multiple times to pick up the insurance checks for the repairs, but no manager/owner will bother speaking with us. They assured us that the truck would take no more than 30 days to be fixed, and insisted we do not mail the checks, and instead preferred picking up the checks in person, so that they would be able to start the work on the truck immediately. This situation is very alarming and frustrating, and we have been more than accommodating and understanding. We are beginning to think this business is a scam because something is definitely off. Hope this helps others avoid this situation, I would not wish this on anyone."
"The shop was great .Work was great and fixed fast.Lisa in office keep in touch with me during repairs. The shop also worked with me with deductible. I was 100% satisfied with everthing."
"Gave the owner $2000. August 2021 to buy a car that needed some fixing. We had to take him to court 9 months later. He spent our money and in court he promised to pay us $250.00 weekly. Received 2 payments and now back to all the excuses. He is a smooth talker and bullshiter. He tells you all his family problems to get out of paying. This is a warning. He will take your money close the shop and take off."
"This place takes care of you through and through. Went to these guys to fix a bumper they did the work and extras for me. Came out amazing. Had another car get in 2 different accidents they are currently doing the work looks great as well. Would absolutely recommend these guys to anyone who is in need of body work"
