"I recently purchased a vintage 1938 Belmont six-tube radio (M-636) on Ebay and the seller was less than forthright on a few issues - mainly a very scratchy volume potentiometer. James at Golden Radio Repair carefully went over everything, and fixed the volume control, replaced two capacitors, a bad RF tube and addressed some speaker coil distortion. In addition he performed an IF alignment, bringing everything back into spec. He checked the power cord connection and resoldered it to spec for safety. Finally, he added an AUX input jack so I can play all my electronic media on this wonderful old radio. James' work is impeccable, and he is very communicative about his service and costs.
