"Golden Radio Repair is not currently accepting new work. My two radios I had to retrieve after they had been taken in last year but not worked on for eight months. I am sure that James has done good work in the past but his current inability to communicate in a timely fashion with customers or to get any work completed make this is a business you should avoid."
"The process took a little longer than I expected but to have a rare working 1950's German Hi-fi system like the one Golden Radio fixed up for me was worth the wait."
"Excellent service. Thank you so much, my 1968 Grundig is running beautifully. Will recommend and use again. Thank you James!"
"I recently purchased a vintage 1938 Belmont six-tube radio (M-636) on Ebay and the seller was less than forthright on a few issues - mainly a very scratchy volume potentiometer. James at Golden Radio Repair carefully went over everything, and fixed the volume control, replaced two capacitors, a bad RF tube and addressed some speaker coil distortion. In addition he performed an IF alignment, bringing everything back into spec. He checked the power cord connection and resoldered it to spec for safety. Finally, he added an AUX input jack so I can play all my electronic media on this wonderful old radio. James' work is impeccable, and he is very communicative about his service and costs. He also explains in detail his technical process - for someone new to collecting antique radios, this was invaluable insight. Highly recommended. Thank you James!"
"I have a wonderful sounding 1933 General Electric K-63-C Cathedral style Superheterodyne radio thanks to James at Golden Radio Repair in Susquehanna Pennsylvania. I live 350 miles away from Pennsylvania so I shipped it by mail to Golden Radio Repair to be fixed. I was impressed with the professionalism and knowledge James had with old radios. He was very prompt and got right to working on my radio, and he kept me updated on the progress. He finished the radio and called as soon as it was completed. We were so excited we drove the 350 miles to meet James, and to pick up the radio. James showed us his natural hospitality and we were so pleased at the work he did to bring the old radio back to life and to be enjoyed for another 100 years. Thank you James for your skill and your good natured hospitality. Your new Friends Paul & Diane Kimball from Maine"
