Reviews of Hargo Appliance Company Parts & Service
"If i could leave zero stars I would. Worst customer experience. Russ the tech came out stuck his head in the freezer and said the smell we are having is from an ice pack made in China and that anything "Asian" is no good. First our fridge is leaking refrigerant and he said it has no odor which is a lie. He never pulled the fridge out removed the back panel he did nothing. Second the ice pack wasn't in the freezer and guess what it's from Canada. Third my husband and children are Korean so that was a racist remark. Russ NEVER looked into the smell walked out and charged us $150 to insult my family. I called and spoke with Jen said she would look into it and have never heard anything back. So if you want to get ripped off and racially insulted call Hargo and ask for Russ."
"SHOP SMALL BUSINESS!!! These guys are the best! I needed a new washer motor and the motor I had was discontinued. They had one in stock, but we weren't sure if it would work for the model of washer I have due to a discrepancy between the new and old motors. They took the extra step to have a senior tech compare the two motors and give me a confident "yes" that the new motor is compatible with my washer. Thank you guys and I appreciate you so much!!"
"Helpful and friendly. Had the part I needed for my oven in stock (an igniter). Was able to tell me that over the phone before I traveled to the store."
"Waste of money calling them for my refrigerator. The guy they sent wasn’t sure what to do. Not to mention it took them 2 weeks to come out and take a look. He said we could try few things but there is no guarantee. In all it would have cost me close $800 to fix. I can buy a good brand refrigerator for $1k. Not sure who does there pricing or who trains there techs but i wont be using them again. Waste of $110 they charge just to come out and look at it. Shame on them for ripping off customers"
"I had a tech from Hargo in less than 2 weeks ago to look at my very old dryer and to address whatever was causing my 2019 Whirlpool fridge to emit an odor like dirty socks. After examining my fridge, including removing the bottom panel off the back of the fridge, the technician said there was nothing wrong with my fridge and suggested something in the nearby cabinets or in the wall was causing the smell. I took the panel off the back of the fridge today and could clearly tell that this area was the source of the smell. The tech checked this area and apparently didn't see this as a red flag. I cleaned the visible mildew and staining, and ideally, I'd have someone address what caused the copper pipes to develop green corrosion, the dried liquid, and the black mildew clumps, but at this point, calling techs in seems like a waste of money. Edit: I question whether Hargo even read the full review before responding. I do not have complaints about the tech's evaluation and recommendations for the rust in my 40-year old dryer. My complaint is about the tech disregarding the mold/mildew situation at the back of my 3-year old fridge when searching for the cause of a bad odor."
