"I had a few of my co workers over and we ordered an XL pack from dickeys barbecue and it was the perfect amount of food and came with great sides and meat, I chose the smoked chicken, pulled pork and ribs. For the sides we ordered Coleslaw, potato salad, green beans and mac and cheese. The meal also came with 8 pieces of greatly buttered and nice crispy texas toast. I would 10/10 do it again and don’t regret a single dollar I spent. The meal got compliments from my coworkers and they even said they will be trying it sometime to see the other food that dickeys offers."
"For lunch i had the western sandwich plate and I got it with mac and cheese as well as potato salad, the sauces were cooked so nicely and was delivered and made with care. When I received it i tried the sandwich will the Carolina barbecue sauces and they were all delicious. To finish off i had a cookie and man it’s so good."
"I finally got the opportunity to eat at Dickey's Barbecue Pit located in Herndon, VA. Located between MOD Pizza and IHOP, Dickey's prides itself on diverse customer palate than most Barbecue spots. I mean, they cater to Halal customers as well as the general public. Dickey's franchise popularize the Texas style barbecue with falk off the bone meats. My first time here, I was greeted and treated to the preparation of my 2-meat platter: pulled pork and brisket with macaroni and cheese with Texas toast and cut fries. As I waited, I was able to capture the atmosphere and cleanliness of this restaurant, BTW has its own bar, although it is not advertised. The facility is not large but seats a small group comfortably. And given their location, this is not at all any different than most restaurant in this shopping center. The facility from front to back, even the restrooms, is meticulously well-maintained and clean to high standards. You can tell the staff (KK) and the general manager (Willon Brown) to take pride in serving their community well. Now, let's get down to the food. The food at a glance appeared small for its serving, but that was until I began eating and found I could hardly finish the platter. Halfway through, and I was stuffed. I kid you not. And I love to eat, but the servings were just right, and the flavor robust synonymous with Texas BBQ. And he this, if you return with the Dickey's beverage cup, refills are just $1. But hey, that's not bad, considering the beverage cups are the standards we were used to pre-pandemic. Here's more, the Dickey's restaurant caters too. And to no surprise, their services seem to be popular in the Reston area. Now, there is so much information the general manager and I discussed that it would require more than light reading. My point is this, it's a great place to get BBQ alone, with friends or family. Do yourself a favor and drop in this 7 month old establishment and enjoy the food, the spirits, and the great customer friendly staff."
"A friend highly recommended this location, so I went in around noon yesterday, and it was empty of patrons. The young man working was a little timid, as he barely greeted me and simply took my order. He never asked anything out of the required questions to get the order keyed in, not even what sauces I wanted, if any. The restaurant is a little odd, like others have stated. It's narrow, so you have to stand back in the archway of the restrooms to read the menu. My ribs were super dry. That's it, that's all for that. The brisket and Texas toast were excellent. My mom said they were the best that she has had at a BBQ location in the area. My husband loved the fried okra. I thought that the okra and the fries had a little too much salt, which is an easy adjustment for the staff. The potato salad and green beans were good. Contrary to others, I feel like they are fairly priced when you consider the economy their competitors and not to mention the cost of owning a business in NoVa's real estate market. While the restaurant was empty, the online orders were coming back to back, and a lady joined the young man towards the end of my wait to help out. She seemed annoyed that he had not called her for help, but the nonetheless she provided the accuracy that my order was correct and that I had all of my items, including asking me about sauce. Overall, it's a good start for what I hope is a long future for them."
"I went there at noontime. The restaurant was clean, but kind of strange, narrow with limited space to sit. There is a small bar with a few chairs, and besides the bar, I saw only one table to use if you want to eat inside. The quality of their food is not bad, but their prices are high for what you receive. There were a few issues, 1. Only one person worked there at the noontime. He tried his best ( that is the reason I give 3 stars, otherwise, I would have given them a max of 2 stars), but it was hard to take orders, prepare the food, do the cashier job, and also take care of the online orders. With three customers in front of me, a long time to wait just to give my order! 2. Their menu, there was a burger menu on the paper, but no other items ( shown on the wallboard) were included on that menu. Not an easy way to follow the menu. 3. Their brisket seemed old and leftover. It seems they still don't know how much food they have to prepare on a daily basis."
