Reviews of Columbus Global Home Health Sevices, INC
"Not a first hand experience, but the older sibling of a person who just went and spent $25 out of her own pocket to get fingerprinted for nothing. I live with my younger sister and she loves the caregiving profession; she was super hyped to get hired by this organization as a home health aide, thinking she had found an ideal caregiver role she could pursue while pregnant after her pregnancy made it impossible to work as a DSP at her previous job. She resigned from her stable, full-time McDonald's job because the interviewing manager was practically begging her start after her interview on Tuesday, and she was looking for better work conditions after our McDonald's management team harassed her for missing work when she was symptomatic for Covid-19. She paid the money out of her own pocket to get fingerprinted with the promise that she could start any time, and began requesting work assignments immediately. It was "You'll start tomorrow" every day until Saturday, and radio silence since then. No calls have been returned, no questions answered. There is nothing in her background, she has never had to be fingerprinted for anything but a job, and even if they did find something to be concerned about they should have communicated it with her. She just resigned her job with the promise of employment from this company and then got completely screwed over and left to sit around waiting for work assignments or a schedule or anything like that for almost a week now. Even an explanation for why they had such a dramatic shift in the span of two days following the interview would be appreciated. They went from begging her to start because there's such a need for aides, to putting her off, to just plain ignoring her. I don't care what the reasons were. That's disgustingly unprofessional. Don't waste your time or money on these folks. I don't know what they're in this for but their hiring practices are a waste of your resources. If they can't even get a motivated new hire through the onboarding process, they're probably not a good team to work for, anyways."
"I would report this to the main office in Columbus but that’s phone only and I think it’s important that people know how unreliable the Ashtabula personnel are. One of their Staff basically fabricated allegations against a client saying they were being mean to them which is a lie. Her Boss; Cheryl automatically took her on her lying word and gave the client a thirty day notice. That’s nice that people can just fabricate allegations and automatically be ruled guilty just because they are disabled"
"I would not have willingly signed on with an agency that treats my family member and me with such substandard and disrespectful care. Concerns brought to manager were responded with “doesn’t she have anything better to do with her time” --staff always outside smoking not watching my family member-ran utilities up to three times normal costs-damaged property. Don’t worry I will be contacting main office and higher ups. Beware before using this agency."
"Was okay then they kept switching me with various workers who never did any form of proper housekeeping. Then the workers arrived late or not show. I think I finally got a permanent worker and she off and I'm back to musical workers again. Some are good at their job others let's just say I wouldn't want to visit their homes. I just don't know why the company can't hirer and keep good employees."
"What a great place and great people. Not!!! My grandmother goes thru this company and at least once or twice a week her aid doesn't show up and they don't have a back up. Me and my fiance or my siblings have to go and pick up there slack because no one wants to show up. Its becoming over welming not only for us but my family. Not a place i would want any other of my family members to go thru"
