"FOND MEMORIES I have countless wonderful memories performing and attending performances at the Open Air Theater! During my high school and college years not a summer would pass that did not include performing in at least one show with Newtown Arts Company, Playful Rep, Pennington Players, etc. Does anyone know why this incredible venue is no longer in operation? I am gutted learning the amphitheater ceased operations. How could the Washington Crossing State Park and the surrounding communities allow this very special and one of a kind venue shutter its doors (perhaps, gates). I had no idea and this discovery saddens me! I could not find any information online on why, when or how this could have happened. If anyone out there could help I would appreciate! I have nothing but postive intentionsans vibes, hoping someone reclaims and resurrects this gem so future audiences and thespians can enjoy live theatre under the stars!"
