"I can remember the day this place opened. This was the closest thing we had to a grocery store in our neighborhood. At the time we were hungry. Yogesh still managed the counter and saw my wife and I every day scraping change together for food. One day in particular, after scanning the deli menu, and deciding to get some Ramen noodles, he pulled us aside. He offered us our favorite hoagies that we commonly ordered. He told us “ you’re hungry now, if you’re ever hungry again, come back to me. You’re good people.“ I can’t express how much I appreciate his kindness. and I have happily paid it forward. If only more people had the heart and compassion of Yogesh."
