"Been with the company going on 7 years and really appreciate all they do for their drivers. Great team to be a part of"
"I worked with this company on 02/08, the broker was Zach Craig. I booked a load to delivery 02/09 morning. We agreed by phone and emails that the load should be delivered at the morning. He sent me a RateCon with delivery times between 10 and 11 mornings. When my driver arrived at the receiver, he found that the receiver starts working at noon. He checked with a security guard the PO# and this one told to my driver that his appt was at 16:30. I immediately contacted Zach to tell him to contact his receiver since our signed agreement was different. My driver went approximately 2 times to talk to the security guard and he told him that it is impossible for them to took him before that time since that facility starts working at 16:30. When I contacted Zach I asked him for more money since he was lying with the delivery time and my driver was going to be in that facility all day. to make the story short, Zach and I agreed to $500 above rate. He sent a new Rate Confirmation that I signed. My driver checked in at 15:00, the receiver called him at 16:20, and left the facility at 20:00. today 02/10 Zach's bosses sent me a new confirmation without the $500 we had already agreed to and the reason for them was, that my driver had the load like a hostage. which is totally false since my driver did not fail in his APPT. However, they failed from the moment I booked the load lying about the delivery times. They didn't pay me the detention or the $500 we had agreed to. So, if you don't want to waste your time and money. be careful with this company and that broker."
"We hauled a load in late May for them. Arrived at shipper 25 minutes early for our load time and they got to us just as fast as they could. At the shipper they were short some product and said it would be roughly 6-7 hours before it was ready. Contacted broker and they said they’re not paying detention for us to wait for the rest of the product. So the driver left and headed to receiver. In route there was a accident that had caused a small fire so the state had closed a portion of road so that crews could contain it. Driver went the next fastest route, but naturally there were delays. Driver got to the receiver who was not happy they didn’t load 3 pallets and we had a delay from the road closure. Never heard anything about a rate change. At 80 some day’s past due I reached out to Greatwide to find out when the rest of the load would be paid. Just to be told they changed the rate and then sent a revised rate con reflecting the new rate, almost 3 months later. While trying to talk to the person who booked the load he got short and terminated the call. I’ve sent it to collections and filed a complaint against them. Word of advice, if you’re going to do business with them I would do so with great caution. We only hauled 1 load from them. I don’t want it to be thought everyone there is bad, but the corporate office lady was very dismissive and short. The First Lady to answer the phone at the brokers office was pleasant and happy to help. We didn’t care for the broker the whole time during the load and most definitely have a more than sour taste for him after today. Best of luck guy’s, be safe out there."
"EDIT: Greatwide rectified this situation. Thank you Reggie from Greatwide I appreciate you taking care of this. Greatwide is refusing to pay out a TONU because "the customer hasn't paid us yet". Whose responsibility is it to compensate an owner-operator for not being able to get loaded at a shipper? The shippers responsibility? The broker? Neither parties are taking responsibility in this situation which leaves the driver of the truck eating 100% of everybody else's inefficiencies. The burden of the inefficiencies of this industry are laid at the feet of the person holding the steering wheel. The driver is doing the work that is getting us all (broker/carrier) paid. But somehow when there's a mistake on the end of the customer or broker, the owner-operator is who pays the cost."
