Reviews of The Brass Tap
"Wonderful experience, the server was so awesome, one of the best servers i have ever met mckayla. Great food great service great atmosphere, the best thing is - there is always something special going on. Weekly special, happy hours, wine day and lot more"
"Update Oct 25, 2023: went with another group of friends and it’s improved. Was very pleasantly surprised that they serve Gulden Draak beer. Thats the 1st time I’ve ever seen a bar serve that beer. The Loaded Tots were vey good and the Nashville Hot wings were very tasty. We’re gonna come back. The pizza looked good but it was not that great and the wings looked like they were on steroids but at least the beer was good. The place had no air conditioning and made the beer get warm fast. It was uncomfortable enough that we decided to leave earlier than expected and went next door to Plaza Mexico where they had a much better selection of cocktails and their AC was working. I am sure that once they get their air condition situation fixed, it will be a much better place."
"tl;dr: flies, didn't meet a server for over 15min after taking a seat, no lights on, no tvs on, no bartender even though they were "open". So many flies. We left and went to another restaurant. --- We went for brunch, experience was bad enough 10min in that we didnt even stay for food. It says "open at 11" but the place didnt even look open at 11:02. No lights on in the room and no tvs on, no one behind the bar. It's self seating so we took our spot. As we sat down a whole gang of flies swarmed around us and our table (idk what that was all about) and about 6 staff came from the back area / kitchen. They stood at the kitchen window and chatted for about five minutes. The only reason they paused theor conversation was because my fiance stared one of them down so we could just be greeted.... finally I thought we might get some water or a drink. She came over and hit us with "I just want to let you know ur server will be here in about 10min" and walked back to the kitchen window. ...?? So we're sitting there the two of us and this group of staff across the room, lights off, no tvs, still no bartender, no offer for water or drinks, or even nachos/cheese or salsa. Flies n junk... we weren't about to wait another 10 min just to be greeted as if we were hungry customers! We left and went to Olive Tree. Sad because this is a chain and we enjoyed the one in Williamsburg."
"Great new addition to the community! Came here on Friday for happy hour and the place was packed! Large collection of beers and their pizzas were great. They are adjusting to the new opening but staff was very accommodating, the manager even gave us food samples to test out. Excited to come back on game nights!"
"I and a few friends decided to try out this establishment since it is new. We were highly disappointed. The establishment had no air conditioning. We were sweating at the table. It was very uncomfortable. Our server did not know what Sangria is. The Sangria was weak and a very small portion. The server failed to check in with the table. The food was poorly made. The guacamole was the equivalent of one avocado and about three onions. We ordered the pretzels w cheese and the pretzel was burnt and hard. We ordered the boom boom shrimp, it was just hot with no seasoning. The chicken quesadilla was $9 for 2 very small triangles. The brussel sprouts had no flavor and were not cooked long enough to make them tender. Over all our experience was not what we were hoping for. Hoping this restaurant improves as they are open longer."
