Reviews of Red Rock Preserve
"I have been a resident for about 1 year now, and I am running for the hills. Management is literally nonexistent. No one is ever in the office, no one answers the phone, no one responds to email. There is no clear way to contact anyone if you have an issue, question, or EMERGENCY. The gym, which tenants pay, for is almost always inaccessible. I had to buy a treadmill just to continue my workout routine without constant interruption. I have been trying to get in contact with someone for THREE WEEKS, as I am moving out. I have gotten no response or instruction on where to turn in my keys or when the inspection will be done. My lease ends tomorrow, not sure what to do. (It has been impossible to contact management for months) The way this complex is run is appalling and unacceptable. I will be reporting them as it is not fair to treat people this way, I felt like I wasn't being treated as a human. Only time you hear from them is if you owe money or need to recertify so they can cover their own back. If you're thinking about living here, do yourself a favor. Don't."
"I love the spacious rooms, the income – based rent affordability program, not to mention the energy efficient appliances. At first this place was great, every conifer employee from property management to facilities was eager to help and get residents acclimated to this community and make it feel like home. Time passed and now this complex is out of control. Children run around like wild animals, they litter, mark up sidewalks, vehicles get hit with footballs and or basketballs, rocks get thrown at cars and doors. They continue to pull and yank the fence down that surrounds the playground. You have parents that sit around do drugs, make babies, and leave their children unattended daily. The only godsend here is Ashley our maintenance technician. It’s an embarrassment that brings down community morale as residents watch Ashley play the role of a janitor and clean up after slobs not only because of the lack of supervision and enforcement of community rules, but because conifer rather penny – pinch then hire a cleaning crew yet other functioning properties are fully staffed with cleaning crews. There is no management, guidance, nor supervision from this place at all. Tenants have questions and issues. Residents are fed up with the lack of communication. Numerous tenants respectively have an array of issues that remain unresolved. We can not reach anyone. There is never no one in the office. Emails never receive a response back. Calls go unanswered. These generic “owner responses” are hilarious. The same number mentioned repeatedly in these reviews does not work. No one ever answers and or the voice mail is always full. We are told to call this unattended number and management will be happy to discuss issues. Like really? Discus issues what that can be clearly seen on the CCTV footage? It is not a residents duty nor responsibility to fulfill the job of a conifer employee. On the rare occasion you may find a temporary manager from another conifer property in the office. Two words useless and clueless. They can not assist with anything and lack the knowledge to do so. This is a no brainer why the turn over rate is so high at this community."
"The space and affordability are great. However, there are a lot of issues. The building has a lot of technology that we weren’t taught how to use (such as buzzing people up by phone, getting the elevator on our phones, programming the heating/cooling.) The heating/cooling temperature is always colder or warmer than the setting. There are light switches by them that I don’t know what they do. The sound insulation on the sides of units are pretty good, but you can hear almost everything in the floors above and below. You can also smell things from other units. The sound and temperature insulation from the front door of the apartment to the hallway is really poor, and the hallway echoes badly due to the many hard surfaces. The walls chip and stain exceptionally easily, and we cannot keep the toilet paper holder from repeatedly falling out of the wall despite being fixed a few times. The doors all open into walls (which damage easily) with no stoppers or at odd angles. Our refrigerator is much too small for a three bedroom household. Despite w/d hookups in every apartment, if residents want them in their home they are forced to rent a washer and dryer with minimal settings and functionality from one business. It took months from them to install the w/d. Landscaping was done, but not maintained. Many of the plants are dying and there’s a lot of fungal growth. The community spaces such as the gym, kid’s room, and community room are frequently inaccessible due to some residents not being responsible with the space. We pay for these amenities, but we don’t always get to use them. There are a lot of exterior doors that have been broken for months now, which is a major security issue. I can say that the maintenance man, Ashley, is absolutely fantastic. He works incredibly hard although some residents do not make his job easy for him by being disrespectful of the spaces by leaving trash and food around or scattering/throwing landscaping rocks all over the parking lot/driveway. There isn’t a good coat closet or pantry, but in one of smaller rooms the bedroom closet is much bigger than necessary. There have been a lot of issues with the addresses because the physical address doesn’t match the internal one used by the apartment management. The floors on the elevator buttons don’t match the signage on the walls. The roads inside of the complex didn’t exist on GPS until I added them last week, which has caused issues with deliveries, setting up services, and updating legal documents. There is no good system to safely receive deliveries, and delivery workers frequently leave packages blocking the front doors or exposed to weather. Last, but most importantly, it has been almost impossible most of my time living here to reach any staff. Numbers either have full voicemail boxes or go straight to voicemail with no return call. Additionally, the hours are not posted for office staff which makes visiting in person difficult. Often when I have a maintenance request, I have to wait until I happen to see the maintenance worker. It is exceptionally frustrating to have no point of contact for the facility. EDIT: The number provided in the response to this review is the same number that receives no answer and has a full voicemail inbox. I have been calling that number since Friday for a maintenance request that I also put into the online portal this weekend and wrote a letter my son delivered under the closed office door (Monday). Today is Tuesday, and we still have no response."
"Crystal in the office is extremely unprofessional, she needs better training. They tape letters to your door if you use the community room that is not to their liking (kid sitting in the chair, swiveling). I would NOT recommend wasting your time or money here, they will lawyer up and try to take you down. Be careful!"
"Love my three bedroom but having trouble with the address specifically it not showing up on GPS no matter what your apartment you live in it redirects to 975 Old York Road"
