Reviews of La Raza Tex Mex
"This place is authentic and delicious. The guacamole is made to order and is MASSIVE, comes with a huge pile of chips, it’s fantastic. And the birria tacos are fire, they come 4 to an order and the consommé it comes with is so good. A job very well done, La Raza :)"
"The service was absolutely horrible. I’ve never been to this restaurant. I currently just moved to Manville & on Sunday I had some friends over for a white elephant get together and we all wanted tacos. I tried ordering through the phone twice with the menú they had online but it was the worst experience I’ve ever encountered with any restaurant. Specially with a lady that calls herself “the boss” The first phone call- I called and as soon as someone a (lady) picked up she spoke me in Spanish and told me to hold on, I said yeah no problem in Spanish. I was on hold for about 15mins. Which is fine, I’ve worked in a food serve for over 8yrs. So I understand. Hey restaurants get busy. But when she Was able to talk to me I told her I had a question about the food due to one of my friends not eating meat and that I’m going off from the menu they had online. She immediately she that she didn’t have time for me and to call back when I had my order & hung up on me. So I called again. The same lady answered. & I told her I have everyone’s order but that I just wanted to see if they were able to make 3 tacos with whatever it came with but not the meat. While I was speaking to her she was talking over me & telling me why did I call again if I didn’t have my order ready. And said to me in Spanish “don’t you remember I said to you I had no time for you and to order what’s in the manu. Then I said to her “well if you don’t have time for me to just answer one simple question then can you please give the phone to someone that does have time for me to answer just one simple question and take me order. She said “ I can take your order but you are obviously not ready, we sell exactly what’s on the menu and that’s it.” I said to her, well here in the menu it saids you guys sell 3 soft tacos for $10 and to pick the meat. & she cut me off againnnn and she said your wrong and that it’s 2 tacos. I said to her then you guys should change the menu online, like I said before I’m going off by the menu online . And she to me “listen lady I really don’t have time for this none sense” So I said to her “ I’m done talking to her and if she could just transfer me to a Maneger or the owner or anyone that can give better service. & with a weird tone on her voice She said shes the boss. After that I honestly just hung up on her because I wasn’t going to entertain an unprofessional disrespectful so called “owner."
"I got the appetizer nachos, which 2-3 people can enjoy; three beef tacos which come with yellow and white tortilla. It’s topped with cilantro. I love their sauce ever tasty and spicy. I highly recommend. Fast service and great price."
"Practice some Spanish at this tasty and authentic Mexican spot with a big menu and huge delicious portions. Some of the best guacamole we’ve had in New Jersey, hands down. Burria taco specials, pinguino, fortachon, tacos arabes, platters, and kids menu too. Jarritos soda and coke products, plus nice hot coffee. Friendly service and fun atmosphere with cool music. Many Spanish speakers but welcoming to English speakers who try. :)"
