Revere Crossing Apartments

"Truthfully, it should not be legal for people to live here. Most of the reviews you see are as old as almost 5-6 years ago. Not sure if recent ones are being deleted or no new ones have been posted but I recently moved out of this disgusting slum that I lived in for only one year and I actually feel like living here has traumatized me. To start, the pictures of the units online are generated with some sort of AI technology. It holds the same general layout of the apartments, but it looks nothing like that in person. Everything is the typical slum lord special such as sloppy patched up and painted over walls, doors, frames, and even tiles. To the point where all of the doors cannot close properly because of years of built up thick paint coats. I’m almost sure that these maintenance guys are not certified to do anything, they are just guys who live in the complex and were hired at a cheap cost. Secondly, they claim to have new renovated apartments when really all they did was put in some new appliances and repainted/reglazed everything. My apartment leaked terribly every time there was a rain , I called them about it and several times and their solution was to paint over the wet wall that water leaked down causing mold to build up. While i’m on the topic, the worst issue of all is the rampant mold issue. I had mold growing on my walls on the top of my window sils, in the bathroom, and in the living room. I am by no means a dirty person and clean daily. I called numerous times about this, and was called “picky” by the maintenance men. I was also handed a bottle of Zep to handle the issue myself from now on. They even questioned about why I was scared of mold and asking if I thought it would kill me then proceeded to show pictures of other peoples units in the same complex that had horrendous mold issues and said “they had this much mold in their unit and were completely fine, nothing happened to them.” Finally, they came and just painted over and even corked over the mold as if just cause I didn’t see it anymore meant that it wasn’t there. I became extremely sick, and went to the doctor several times. I am only grateful to have good insurance because it could’ve been worse. The landlords know all about the mold issue and their brainless idiotic maintenance person confessed that to me by showing me pictures of other peoples units and telling me not to worry because I won’t die from it. The management is extremely rude, I called about an emergency mold issue on a Friday evening and one guy called me back annoyed telling me “I shouldn’t even be working on this because It’s almost the sabbath” and “I’ll try to get someone out but if they can’t we’ll send someone first thing on Monday”. I sent a text requesting that they come out immediately (as stated in my lease) or compensate me for a hotel and they sent one of their maintenance guys out immediately. Trina in the front office was fine to deal with but you can tell that higher management and the actual owner/landlord of this complex doesn’t care at all and will purposely take advantage of people who can’t afford better in todays housing economy. Towards the end of the lease, a strong smell began to form in my building. As if something died. It was unbearable. I moved out and returned a couple weeks later to retrieve a package that was accidentally delivered to that address. My former neighbor let me into the front door and when I walked in I almost fainted because the same scent had grown 1000 times stronger. I asked the neighbor about it and they said it’s been bad for so long and no one has done anything. It smelled like a dead body rotting, and the fact that the management doesn’t have to decency for their tenants to investigate this is crazy. All in all, I have so much more I could say but I am just grateful to be out of that place. Do not, I repeat DO NOT, move here if you care about your health or sanity. These are unlivable conditions."
