"First time there, went on a recommendation. Good vibe, seated immediately, though it was slow on a weeknight, we could see it gets crowded. Service was prompt & amiable, food was excellent if not exceptional, as it was all cooked and presented very well. We had the tuna tostadas to start then red snapper and the shrimp. Very pleasing, well done, both entrees and appetizer. Flan was perfect, too. We'll return with others in tow, for sure. Only downside was very scarce dairy-free options."

"This was the first time we visited Tacos el Tio and they didn't disappoint. We were greeted with a very friendly staff who seated us immediately at one of their outside tables. This courtyard is lined with lights, which overlooks a water feature at the far end and a bar with numerous TV's. When seated, our waitress brought us some delicious complimentary tortilla chips and Salsa Roja and Salsa Verde. My wife had the Carnitas Tacos and I had the sizzlin' Fajitas. We both thought our entrées were large portions and were perfectly seasoned. My only complaint was the lack of shredded cheese provided for the Fajita entrée. I even asked for more cheese and was only given about a teaspoon and was charged $1.00 extra (not cool). Maybe there is a shredded cheese shortage in Medford that we don't know about? :-') Honestly this place is great and if they fix their cheese stinginess issue, it will earn them 5 stars for sure!"

"I don’t like leaving bad reviews, but I think the owner need to know how poor the service was. Eye rolls from the waitresses and complete lack of attention from the main server. The place was not busy, and there were plenty of employees around. Some on their phones in a side booth. I try to give people the benefit of a doubt and maybe all nine people working there had an off day, but the service was absolutely terrible.. You can tell they weren’t trained very well, or just did not care. The food was actually pretty good, nothing Amazing, but certainly not bad. And the restaurant has a nice vibe. Also got charged three dollars for cheese and lettuce that never actually came on the tacos we ordered. I didn’t say anything as I really just wanted to get out of there."
