Reviews of The Community at Norris Hills
"If you want to overpay for something that’s not really worth it, this place is for you. It’s impossible to reach anyone, ever for anything. Paying rent is so complicated, I’ve never in my life have had to beg for a place to take my money. The online portal is poorly designed and does not work properly, at one point I ended up paying rent late cause I couldn’t figure out how to pay (payment system was taking my information) and I couldn’t even get in contact with anyone. Also late fee is $150 but your also charged another $150 the following month for a “legal fee” . $300 to the trash honestly. My friend lives in another complex in KOP and had an issue but late fee was $50 and the office always answers the phone and Emails. Same price rent as well, making payments is less of a headache. Better amenities and experience for the same exact price. Respectfully do not recommend moving here unless it’s your only option."
"I moved here 1 month ago. believe that the management is making progress but they need to invest in regularly cleaning the trash outside the entrances and parking lots, fixing screens in windows, etc. The trash and recycling dumpster needs to be emptied twice a week, etc. Once tenants gain pride in the new Norris Hills complex they too will try to keep the common areas cleaner, etc. I moved here because I believe that the new management wants to invest and improve their reputation."
"If you are a contractor be cautious. I did work for this location and they never paid their bill. We submitted our invoice multiple times and they kept giving us the run around. We did quality work and they were satisfied but then ignored us when it was time to pay."
"In short... I assumed that the management of any apartment complex who cared about their reputation would do their best to rectify huge issues at the very least when it benefited their own reputation and the future of the business to do so - I was wrong. I assumed that the management would do their best to be reasonably honest and civil. I was wrong. I assumed that any human seeing another human in a terribly inhumane situation would try to help them. I was wrong. I assumed that providing the basics of what was promised in a lease would be a higher priority than greed and deception. Once again I was wrong. If you are moving into this place with the same assumptions at the very least I can suggest you think again. I am looking to get in contact with any other residents who were in the building last year or currently who dealt with the bat bug infestation. I was one of the residents dealing with it and have a number of reasons for wanting to reach out. If you are still there or if you have left, if you have lost many material possessions and have any receipts or pictures or records of what was lost, please contact me! I am on Facebook under this name as well."
"I scheduled an appointment to see the apartment room and arrived after driving 70 miles but no luck. I repeatedly called the office and left voice mails. Office don't exist at the address given. I waited at the given address for 25 minutes and was told by a local that leasing office is at a different address. Finally went to the right address but found the office dead locked. Then drove back home. No one never called to follow up on this harassment and said sorry. What a business!"
