"I lived in here for literally two years. When I move out recently, we got fleas in our house. The apartment said we have pest control included but they did NOTHING to improve the situation , but they charged 300 bucks instead saying they need to solve the problem after we LEAVE. After we LEAVE??!! I don't even know if I carry the flea egg to my new apt. The fleas keep biting me for two weeks!"

"I have living at this place for 4 years. The only reason I stay at here is because of my Husky. Horrible attitude. They are making all possible money out of resident and never do anything to improve the housing condition. I repeatedly report the carpet and leaking issue for a year and no one come. The most annoying thing is the previous manager seems has "collaborate" with tolling truck company, the toll truck park in the lot every single day and check all the cars without the parking tag, my friend can't even park their car on my own parking place. One time they required me to pay $150 cash to put my own car down. And I am ready to move out from this place, and ready for them to eat up my deposit..."

"I have resided in this complete for almost 2 1/2 years. The name of the complex is West End Village. Larkin & Associates purchased the complex within a year of me moving in. I WISH THIS HAD NEVER HAPPENED!!! They simply do not care about their tenets. They are most definitely more concerned with receiving monthly rental payments. There has been little to no upgrades inside of my apartment. My carpet is old and it is obvious that it had been in the apartment for sometime. The kitchen has two white appliances and one beige appliance and the place and stick tile on the floor is as old as the carpet. Ridiculous!! Both bathrooms are dated as well. I requested for the exhaust fans be replaced several times due to the loud noise they make and the fact that I am required to leave the doors open while taking a hot shower. If this is not done, the bathrooms remains steamy. Instead of replacing the exhaust fans, they removed dust particles from the fan. This is unacceptable if they do not work. The only thing that was replaced was the toilets. Finally, the drain system is HORRIBLE!!!! My kitchen sink, bathroom sinks, tub and shower has backed up on many occasions. My two prior incidents could not be handled by maintenance, instead a professional plumber had to resolve the issue. I've had water leaks from the apartment upstairs occur which is down right unsanitary. As I noted above the only replacement inside my apartment was the toilet and within the past 4 to 5 months, new washers and dryers in each building. On the other hand, on the outside of the buildings, new shutters were added, new black-top for the parking lot and seating benches in the front of the complex. The hallway carpet is old, the interior doors are old, the front and back doors are old, patios doors are old, etc. Tenets live inside of the buildings not outside. Not only to Larkin & Associate not appreciate their tenets, they did not appreciate their employees either. Leasing Agent, Stephanie Tyler was recently let go. Stephanie made sure our complex was clean and peaceful. She addressed issues that were necessary. She enforced rules that are now mandatory. These rules should have been addressed prior to her joining the Larkin team but was not. Larkin & Associates have no idea how much of an asset she was to their organization and I'm sure they will find out!!!"

"What is Larken Associates doing? I have lived at Waters Edge for over a year and the maintenance and Property manager really worked hard and cared for their tenants and ubruptly they were fired. Stephanie Tyler made sure all of the units were leased and evryone paid on time. She delt with all issues in a timely and very professional manner. Some tenants are here only because of her kindness and professionalism. Marcus Connolly is the best maintenance man I have ever delt with. I have seen him go take care of tenants even after he clocked out for the day. He has even helped me bring furniture up 3 flights of stairs. They really cared and did not deserve to be treated the way Larken treated them. Do not move here because Larken Associates doesn't care about their employees or their tenants."

"I lived here for 4 years and overall my experience was great. I only moved out because I got a job in a different state. The new team overseeing the community has been a large improvement over the teams we had in the past. One con is that the walls are thin and you can hear your next door neighbors if they are loud. There are many pros to make living here well worth it (location, free parking, good maintenance team, new appliances, etc) in my opinion"
