"I lived at Long Lane for two years. The apartments are reasonable, I never ever had a problem with mice or roaches. It's clean and well maintained. Overall it was a good experience. Kyle treated me and my daughter like family and I am forever thankful for Long Lane Apts."
"I love these apartments because they are well maintained. The maintenance is always available and ready to assist in any way necessary!"
"We stay in the building near walnut cause they got several buildings let's see if they gonna finally not wait til the last minute to turn the heat on so far it's November 2022 and it's down right been cold this month thus far and there's no heat other building we stayed with other owners the owners would atleast have the heat on timers so if it get to a certain temperature then it should come on. Some of my neighbors are using there ovens and that's ridiculous eventho utilities included don't play cheap and not want to keep tenants warm. They're getting alot of money you can't afford to turn the heat on in all of your buildings."
"Nice area BUT for the price and what I experienced NOT WORTH IT. I stayed here for 2 years and it was OKAY in the beginning but my son got really sick and spent days in the emergency room. I was not able to pay rent b/c of the days off of work I spent in the hospital (single mom, no family up north). I thought by explaining my situation to management I'd get understanding and suggestions on anything they can do to help me so that they can get paid. Brenda, the office manager, made it clear they don't accept any outside help from programs (fine) but she suggested that I send my son away since I was having a hard time taking care of him ???? I was disgusted by that comment and thought about reporting her but after hearing how often she spilled my business to other residents, I realized she doesn't know any better. Also, I assumed Steven Lentz more than likely would side with his employee. I never came back to the office again during my time here. I kept everything in writing. When maintenance was necessary, they spent less time fixing the problem and more time "throwing a blanket over it". I had mold and mildew growing in the bathroom ceiling, the tub peeled and turned colors everytime I washed it. Whenever I filled the tub up with solely water (for my at the time 1 year) the water would be a cloudy color which lead me to believe the tub had a coating of some sort that children shouldn't be soaking in. The bathroom ceiling also would have brown kinda of staining from the lead paint they used after the steam from the shower got to the paint. The stove gives off so much heat its UNBELIEVABLE. There is a serious roach and pest problem in the apartments. The washer and dryers in the basement are extremely small. I had to split my son's tiny clothing load into two loads just to wash his clothes. They also do not have a change machine for the laundry and do not provide it. If you have to go out and get change or wash more than a half a load of clothes for $1.50 to wash and a $1.50 to dry then you're better off going to the laundromat. Parking is not solely for the residents at Long Lane Apartments. People that live in the row homes or elsewhere use the parking garage also. I can't tell you how many times my packages have gotten stolen. They have 24 hour surveillance in the lobby. I asked if they can rewind the tape to see who took it and nobody knew how to "go back that far". So much for security right? Let this place be your last your resort. Despite my issues financially, there were other residents who are ahead on payments and still experienced their own issues at Long Lane Apartments."
"I lived in Long Lane apartments for about 8 years. During that time I must say that the staff treated me like I was family. My building manager Louise was the greatest! She always took care of my needs and stayed professional at all times. I was really fortunate to have her as my building manager. The maintenance crew and the groundskeeper were all good guys and am really going to miss them. The rent is really cheap, taken into consideration that your utilities are free. Plus they have an indoor heated car garage. That was a huge plus! The neighborhood was very nice and Louise made sure that there was no nonsense and craziness that went on in the building. I strongly recommend any and everyone to give this place a try. The only negative side is the other lady in the management office, BRENDA! She is one mean, hateful, miserable old woman. Eight years I've lived there and up until the last day she treated me and my family like we just move in. That woman puts a dark cloud over Long Lane apartments. Someone needs to seriously give that woman a hug. Maybe then she would smile a little more and stop treating people like garbage!"
