Mingo Apartments 50 Keokuk Road, Royersford, PA 19468

"Stay away! Far away!! Resided at Mingo for 2 years. Apartments are old, not well maintained with no upgrades. C22 had 1-2 inch cracks that went from one end of bedroom to the other. Ownership tried to hide by filling in the hole with caulk and paint. When the room would settle pieces of the caulk would fall onto the floor. No central air. Air conditioners need to be upgraded. If your on 2nd floor you will roast in the summer. Appliances are old and outdated. Stove and dish washer 10-15 years old. Fridge died and took 2 weeks to get replaced. Maintenance does not fix anything at All!! The maintenance guy is extremely friendly and a nice guy however band aids are placed on everything. Shower knob needed to be replaced because you could not push back in. Twice I had to call hotline on weekend to tell them showed will not turn off. When maintenance called back they asked if I could shut door and leave on until Monday. What? Who does that. I told them I will not be liable if tub overflows and apartment is damaged. Or one beneath. Or beside. It wasn’t until then they agreed to come out and temporarily fix. Was never fixed even when I left. Thermostat read the same temp throughout the day and or night I had to turn it off completely if too hot or turn it to 80 if too cold. Couldn’t get an answer as to why it wouldn’t work. Toilet in hallway bath would continue to run when I opened the lid the chain was too short so they used a bread tie and paper clip to make it longer and attached to fill. Ownership added fees to winter months to help offset costs that were not present when I signed original lease. They are money hungry and I am fore warning you that you will not see any of your security deposit. Ownership will try and BS the inspection so they can keep your money! Don’t do it drive right on by!!!"

"If you care about your health, and the health of your family members, STAY AWAY. These apartments are very old and contain black mold! Dryer vents run into other apartments instead of OUTSIDE! Had a family member live there and everything had to be discarded due to mold. Storage areas in basement also had mold. They just paint over everything and cover it up. Leaving a review here because management was very unprofessional and argumentative."

"The leasing agent is very friendly and the neighbors I met were all quite pleasant. The community itself is quiet, which I really appreciated. However, the location right next to the 422 provided for traffic noise 24/7. I wouldn't necessarily call that a bad thing but it did keep me from opening the windows on cooler evenings. Probably something I could have gotten used to. The apartment itself included a laundry hook-up, was cozy and more than adequate for my needs. Although it was starting to show its age in the ceiling and radiators (baseboard). Again, not a complaint just something I noticed. Cost of the apartment was inline with others I looked at. Heat, water and garbage collection were included with rent so adding electric and Internet (no cable) I was under $1,300 per month for my one-bedroom deluxe. Plenty of stores, restaurants and other amenities nearby. Had I been able to stay in the area (I was working as a contractor on a fixed-term project) I probably would have been very happy there. I only left because my job ended."
