"Recently toured an apartment in a fantastic location! The proximity to shops and restaurants is perfect, providing a sense of privacy that I appreciate, especially coming from the Scranton Pa area. As a Misericordia student, this location is ideal! Upon arriving at Country Club, I was pleasantly surprised. Despite negative online reviews, my experience was positive. Sarah, the representative I met with, shared that the property is now under new management. Exciting updates, including new floors, modern kitchens, and upgraded HVAC, are in progress. There's even a new gym slated to open in July! The 2-bedroom townhouse is reasonably priced at $1,800, and the balcony in the Master bedroom is a great feature. The ongoing improvements have made this townhouse my top choice."
"I lived there for 3 years. It just gradually got worse and worse over that time. I had water leaking into my bedroom from the ceiling the entire time. They’d come and paint over the water marks if I emailed over and over, but never fix the leak. The ceiling finally caved in in my bedroom destroying my furniture. I had enough and I moved that day. I was told the apartment was still “habitable” with mold and insulation everywhere and a gaping hole in the ceiling. They’re refusing to return my security deposit and continued to debit my bank account for rent for an uninhabitable apartment until I called the bank to stop it. Jessica the newest property manager threatened to ruin my credit if I moved and broke my lease even though the apartment looked like it did in the pictures below. You can’t ever get in touch with “management”. There have been 4 massive fires in there in 3 years. I took on excessive smoke and soot damage from a fire in the apartment under mine and they never even reached out to any of the tenants after the fire. The bathtub picture and floor picture is all soot from that fire. The storm drains are blocked in the parking lot. You end up walking through ankle deep water to your car, or it freezes your car tires into the ice in the winter bc nothing drains when the snow melts. I went over 2 months with no heat in the middle of winter. Anytime you reach out about these things you’ll get told it’s “new management”. It’s not. The property managers (which they go through every few months) are all employed by remrow. It’s all the same company. There was a stabbing in there and Jessica the property manager said it was an isolated “f around and find out” incident. That alone shows the level of professionalism with their “management”. There was an arrest for someone related to child trafficking out of there and another arrest for selling drugs (articles on those and the fires are accessible, just google). They’ll keep your security deposit so don’t plan on getting it back. Grass cutting and snow removal is a joke and barely happens. The first year I lived there they didn’t pay garbage pickup so we lived with massive piles of garbage in the parking lots. They don’t pay the electric bill so the outside lights get shut off constantly and it’s pitch black walking to your car. If you’re thinking of renting here, don’t! Also, don’t believe the “new management” lies when you inquire. This place is not safe and I don’t know how it hasn’t been condemned yet."
"If I could give a 0 star rating, I would. Just today, the property manager said that air conditioning, which is listed as an amenity, is not a necessity. It's literally late August and 82 degrees out and it's going to top out at 89 in the next 3, but it's totally not necessary - even though it's listed as an amenity, and I'm paying for the amenity of central air. It's been broken for a month and there just isn't money for RemRow to fix it. It rains in my apartment every so often, and that's just a fun perk and keeps things exciting. When you bring up that things are broken, the response is that it's "fair market rent," which would be fine - if things worked. There used to be a pool, years ago, but now it's just a pile of super dangerous construction debris. Speaking of construction debris - there's a lot of that all over the place. There are elderly residents in this complex who thankfully are helped by other residents to cross the sidewalks - not kidding - it's a miracle no one has died honestly. Snow and ice removal takes days sometimes. I've fallen more than once. When I brought this up to management the response I got was "go ahead and sue. you'll lose." Like ok, not where I was going - just wanted to bring it to someone's attention that there was ice on the sidewalk... but maybe someone did sue them over icy sidewalks, who knows... The property managers last about 9 months on average. The first one was encouraging folks to pay rent in cash and then mysteriously accusing them of not paying (turns out this fella had a theft conviction, who called that?) The second was recording conversations without permission and was generally unhelpful and unresponsive. I drove past the same pile of garbage on the grounds for months and mentioned it at least weekly. She said I had no business bringing it up because it was not in front of my building and I was making trouble. The most recent recent property manager makes 0 excuses for why the complex is a blighted property. She is happy to tell you that it was not fair that RemRow could not evict anyone during Covid when people were not working. She will also tell you bluntly that RemRow is broke, has no money and cannot pay to fix anything and that things like air conditioning are not considered to be necessities by Code Enforcement and therefore, RemRow will not be fixing them. The gym will not be getting fixed. The pool will not be getting fixed. Oh, and the electric bills don't get paid. So even though someone got stabbed two months ago, there's no lights when you open your door. If you're planning on moving here, don't. Any decent reviews are 5+ years old. These guys are slum lords. The current property manager literally has compared herself to the police, saying "no one likes authority," when she yelled in someone's face because they said they weren't paying the rent for the month because the building HAD CAUGHT ON FIRE and was not habitable. If they tell you it's going to get better? It's not going to. Hold out. Look into Yalick Farms. It's close and for what CC is trying to charge? You're waay better off."
"~Place looks like a dump. Me and my girlfriend have not even lived here for 6 months and we will be terminating our lease. We moved in and we’re told the carpets were going to be deep cleaned and they still had cat litter all through the townhouse. We have a carpet shampooer and when we cleaned the carpets the water was black. ~Also our ac/ heat went out and we contacted maintenance. They took over a month to fix and we had a scheduled day to get it fixed and he never showed up. Nicole cavidad then told me that there was other emergencies that had to be fixed first yet I have ring and proof that he never showed up. We had to rely on small space heaters to keep the townhouse warm. ~Shower was gross nothing was cleaned or looked nice when we moved in. We filled out the inspection packet when we moved in and nothing got fixed or they never did anything about it. Do not rent from here."
