The Preserve at Milltown Apartment Homes 500 Meadowlake Drive, Downingtown, PA 19335

"I've recently moved into this complex. DON'T DO IT. They will show you a bright, shiny, clean model telling you that you can't see the actual unit you'll be moving into because conveniently, there's a tenant in that unit. You will show up on move day and walk into a disgustingly filthy hole that looks nothing like that model you viewed. Their cleaner is utterly useless. I found foodstuff in my kitchen cabinets from the former tenant. The cabinets weren't even wiped out, much less cleaned. The stove still had a layer of grease on it that required oven cleaner to remove it. The bathroom was a disaster. The fresh toilet seat was pearls on a pig. There were whiskers in my medicine cabinet, mascara on the wall and hair and dust PAINTED into the wall. Yes, their painters don't even sweep the walls prior to painting. They just paint over the hair and dust and cobwebs, painting all of this into the walls as you can see from the attached photos. The baseboard photo is AFTER scrubing with a heavy duty scrub brush. If I could have given no stars, I would have. The carpet cleaner who had supposedly cleaned the bedroom carpet had to be sent back out because one pass with my vacuum clogged the receptacle. The carpet cleaner was here for all of 8 minutes. I've attached photos of what came out of the carpet after the second time he was here. The popcorn ceiling in my living room has no less than 6 very poorly done repairs to them. Management did offer to send the same cleaner back in. Would you have accepted?? I declined. What would be the point, considering the exceptionally poor job that was done the first time and the 8 minute breeze through of the carpet cleaner when he was sent back?? No, thank you. I'll do it myself. Steer clear of this place. It's a dump. RESPONSE TO REPLY FROM OWNER: I have contacted the Leasing office. They have offered to allow me out of my Lease with written notice IF I give up my Security Deposit? So let me get this straight - you get me to move into your FILTHY apartment that I clean for a month to make it livable, and YOU KEEP MY SECURITY DEPOSIT NOW THAT'S IT'S CLEAN? THERE IS NO WAY THAT IS ACCEPTABLE OR FAIR. This is your solution to keeping your residents happy? Try again."

"I love living here so far. I do wish the building would do something about smokers, as my neighbors’ smoke gets in my apartment through the vents and smells terrible. I also wish the main office wouldn’t close earlier than its posted hours (happened to me twice). But overall, it’s nice here and I would recommend it."

The location is ideal; the response to maintenance requests is outstanding; Matt, Rollo and Tim are so friendly and accommodating; Matt especially - we adore him. Laura and Jane are great too! Moving from a single home was a challenge but The Preserves @ Milltown offers so many amenities, we feel right at home. Oh and our neighbors - LOVE THEM! So happy to be a part of this incredible community!"

"I have lived here at the Preserve for almost 10 months now and I couldn’t be happier, especially with the staff! They are extremely attentive, accommodating and kind! Amy the manager does a phenomenal job at keeping up the property grounds. She is kind caring and considerate. She and her staff have gone above and beyond for me during a difficult time. The maintenance staff does an incredible job as well! Any little thing I need fixed in my apartment, they are there within 24hrs of putting in a request. The property management company uses a wonderful app, where you can pay your rent, request maintenance, find your lease etc. The apartments themselves are adorable, all upgraded, tons of closet space and wood burning fireplaces (my personal favorite) They are also extremely sound proof! The amenities are above par especially if you are a dog parent. They even have an agility training course at one of the dog parks! (Which my dog walks around haha) There is a beautiful pool, lounge area, fuse ball, ping pong, cornhole and even a putting range! Soccer, tennis, outdoor workout area, along with an indoor gym! They even have beach cruiser bikes you can take out for the day! There is no doubt that Morgan Properties has put a ton of thought and care into the design of these beautiful apartments! Most importantly the staff is just beyond amazing!! My neighbors are also wonderful! This is the first time I have ever lived in an apartment and I am taken back by how delightful it has been!"

"Matt of the maintenance team is amazing! His response time and care for the community is beyond expectations. I have not met someone so dedicated to the people and pets. I also can't forget the property manager - she literally held a pets in the pool day before closing it for the season! Please see below for adorable photos. This is the place to be for pets and people. We miss our friends very very much! Don't forget to hit the dog park at 5 - 5:30pm Monday through Friday for a great group of people and pets :)"
